The Wazu Nebula is approximately 18 lightyears to the galactic south of the Yamatai Star System, and to the galactic east of the Fujiko System. The Sakura's Gap separates the Wazu Nebula from the Great Southern Nebula.

As of YE 43 it is located in space claimed by the Yamatai Star Empire, and to the galactic east of Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia space.

The Wazu Nebula was in heavily contested space during the First Mishhuvurthyar War between YE 26 and YE 29. Several Yamatai Star Empire systems like Rufusland, Fujiko and Hanako's Star (Prior to relocation) faced being surrounded by Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) controlled systems on all sides once the Bard Cluster fell in YE 29.

In YE 29 a Nermian Defense Initiative Unit, the 234th Carrier Battle Group, made transit through the Wazu Nebula on its way to provide support to Star Army of Yamatai forces that had engaged the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) in the Sakura's Gap. ¹⁾

The NSS Acadia performed several operations in and around the Wazu Nebula during the Second Mishhuvurthyar War.²⁾

The Wazu Nebula is a massive cloud of interstellar gases and dust.

The Wazu Nebula is a HII Region nebula composed of mostly heavily ionized hydrogen gas. Several short-lived blue stars, namely Wazu-764 and Wazu-865 that ionize most of the hydrogen in the nebula with their ultraviolet emissions. It is considered a stellar nursery, and will one day result in a more defined star cluster. The Wazu nebula tends to be more stable than some of the other nebulas in the Kikyo Sector and has not been known to cause any major interference with ship's systems or transit. ³⁾

The only way to reach the Wazu Nebula is by starship or other craft.

The Wazu Nebula has no permanent residents.
