The Hetra system is a small system, with only two planets. It is not actually located within the Kikyo sector, but rather accessed via a relatively stable Spacial rift. The Hetra system is special, however, in that it and the space around it for any meaningful distance is effectively Aetherless. The whole area seems to be under a permanent Aether dampening field in which Aether generators will not work. To compound this problem, many sensor types are mitigated around here, and even powerful sensors seem to have a very limited range.

The first planet in the Hetra system, hetra, is a large, terrestrial planet, whose ecosystem is nearing the end of a millenium-long recovery from total collapse. The level of civilization has dropped from its peak, and is currently composed of mostly farmland, small villages, and a few major cities. Population is kept at a minimum, to protect the fragile environment.

The second planet in the Hetra system, hetramos, is only roughly 2/3 the size of its closer neighbor, and has only been inhabited for about 1,000 years. despite this, it is heavily populated, industrialized, and fairly polluted. Due to its lower gravity, the people of Hetramos, called Mosan, are generally taller than their Hetran relatives, but slightly physically weaker.
