Vordachibea is a star system claimed by the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia, though under perpetual quarantine. The system's space is heavily patrolled by Nepleslian warships and three orbital stations ensure that no ships enter or leave the Vordachibean homeworld. It consists of a single G2 star and two terrestrial planets, one of which is habitable. In addition, there are two more gas giants and an asteroid belt in the system.
Besides being home to the vicious carnivorous Vordachibeans, the planet of Vordachibea is actually a rather prime piece of interstellar real estate. The only drawbacks are its genocidal inhabitants. Since the DION took possession of the system, it has maintained an effective blockade of the star system, preventing the Vordachibeans access to new technology and space travel.
Nepleslian Space Marine Corps units are occasionally deployed to the surface for training missions, as part of an effort to cull the population and keep them in check, as well as to assess new Marines. Most of these missions are simple survival missions by raw Marines on their final test. However, when a new factory or workshop is discovered, veteran units will be sent into destroy it and any weapons produced.
The majority of the Nepleslian military presence, however, is automated. Only the space stations and shipyards established in the system and the patrolling warships are manned. Hundreds of unmanned Rooks have been positioned around the system to prevent any unauthorized entry or departure.
Nepleslian forces in the system tend to fluctuate, given defense commitments required elsewhere, however it does have static bases with manned garrisons on both of Vordachibea's moons. This allows the Navy to monitor the planet and any possible blockade runner. It also has several shipyards in orbit around Vorda III.
In addition, many civilian mining companies have set up operations within the asteroid belt. These are carefully monitored by the Navy's warship patrols.
At the bare minimum, the SMDIoN's manned assets include:
In addition, 400 Rooks have been deployed through out the system to prevent any unauthorized approach.
