Strong scalar fields create electrical surge comparable to an electromagnetic pulse, but arising everywhere where gravity is effective (almost anywhere but a gravity shielded starship). This electrical surge will kill lifeforms, detonate fuels and explosives, fry electronics, combust combustibles, and vaporize ablative armor.
