As you are well aware, following reports of clandestine activities within sovereign territory of the Yamatai Star Empire by soldiers of the Uesureyan Star Army, the YSS Kaiyō II embarked on a mission to investigate the status of Kitsurugi Uesu's empire outside of the Kikyo Sector. After to contact with the Emperor and his subordinates, the Kaiyō II received a formal diplomatic request to assist the Uesureyan Star Empire in their fight against Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Nougpift adversaries present in galactic regions far to the south of the Yamatai Star Empire and Kikyo Sector (subsequently: Uesureyan Space). On your authorization, the Kaiyō II returned at the head of Task Force 282 to carry out allied operations with the Star Army of Uesureya.

The abridged report contained within this message is for your eyes only. All attached information was compiled by Taisa Nicholas Saiga, our Intelligence Executive for the Uesureyan Theater. It is current as of the date of transmission (YE 45.5.6) and includes post-mission biological study of Mishhuvurthyar lifeforms. Further details of intelligence derived from Task Force 282's encounters in Uesureyan Space are available to you via classified mission logs.

  1. The Uesureyan Star Empire
    • The current Uesureyan Star Empire was established after Kitsurugi Uesu's exodus from the Kikyo Sector in YE 30.
      • It is built to provide a civilization for the Nekovalkyrja who fought with him in the image of a nation he "recognized more than present day Yamatai."
      • Uesu commands his empire from the UES Ayame II, a grand vessel that serves as the center of his new empire.
      • His Kitsurugi Clan maintains its own cadre of samurai wariors.
      • Ketsurui Yuumi is present and lives in Uesu's company.
    • Although the Emperor was at first apprehensive toward explaining why his soldiers in the Kikyo Sector were secretly retrieving old technologies, which often resulted in confrontations with Star Army of Yamatai personnel, he later revealed to Taisa Taiyou Hoshi that he hoped these technologies would assist in his fight against the Mishhuvurthyar.
      • While the Emperor was initially successful in its attempts to defeat the Mishhuvurthyar, after which time he established his new empire, this old enemy was able to return again and put Uesu's forces on the defensive.
      • The Emperor requested Yamatai's assistance in fighting against the Mishhuvurthyar.
    • The Uesureyan Star Army does not appear to be a threat to the Yamatai Star Empire.
      • Emperor Uesu built his empire separate from Yamatai and has fought to defend it rather than attempting to return to Yamatai.
      • Nekovalkyrja serving in the Uesureyan Star Army are exceptional fighters who bear no malice toward their old Yamataian homeland. In fact, the displayed bravery of Yamataian soldiers at Glimmergold — where many Uesu Neko who have rotated back home fought to defeat the Kuvexians — resonates deeply with many of these "old school" Nekovalkyrja. Taiyou Hoshi and Ketsurui Aiko's presence in Task Force 282 has been a doubtless boon in fostering Uesureyan cooperation despite the Star Army of Yamatai's more diverse makeup and choice of Nepleslian allies.
      • The odd continued presence of the Glimmergold fleet in Yamataian space despite Uesureya's struggles against the Mishhuvurthyar is noteworthy, but specific consent for its stay is a diplomatic matter outside of this report's scope.
      • Although the Uesureyan Star Army lacks newer Yamataian technologies such as the Mindy 4 power armor, Fuji-class Expeditionary Gunship, and later patterns of the Plumeria-class Medium Gunship, it has updated and refit modernized systems into its inventory of Mindy 2 power armors and older starships. The soldiers of Task Force 282 have not witnessed any new class of warship or power armor, but such could certainly exist.
  2. Mishhuvurthyar Presence and Battles
    • At the outset of its first exploratory mission to Uesureyan Space, the YSS Kaiyō II encountered an Uesureyan Star Army task force led by the UES Ravenoak. This task force was in the final stages of eradicating Mishhuvurthyar presence from a planet, having already destroyed the SNM's military assets in orbit.
    • Task Force 282 and its attached Rikugun element, together with Star Army of Uesureya Nekovalkyrja, made a joint assault on the world of Kessica Prime. This operation was the direct result of Emperor Uesu's request for assistance against the Mishhuvurthyar.
      • This world was formerly colonized by the Uesureyan Star Empire and conquered by the Mishhuvurthyar.
      • The joint operation to re-take Kessica Prime, led by Task Force 282, was ultimately successful due to quick integration and cooperation between Star Army soldiers, Uesureyan Nekovalkyrja, and Nepleslian Marines on exchange with Legion 777.
      • Following a complete cleansing of Mishhuvurthyar holdouts, Kessica Prime would make an ideal gateway and staging point for further Yamataian cooperation with the Uesureyan Star Empire. Initial discussion with the Uesureyans has produced permission for the establishment of a Star Army base on Kessica Prime.
  3. Mishhuvurthyar Bioforms and New Dangers
    • The SMN forces in Uesureyan Space at their core are formed of combined SMX and NMX personnel, equipment, and tactics.
      • They utilize old Advance-Type Mishhuvurthyar, Crab-Type Mishhu, Parasites, have continued production of their own Nekovalkyrja; and still use many of their tried-and-true power armors, starships, mecha, vehicles, and weaponry. As is the case with Uesureyan technology, much of this older equipment has been refit and modernized.
    • Two new Mishhuvurthyar evolutionary bioforms were encountered on Kessica Prime. Study currently references these as "Kessica Clade" or "K-Clade" Mishhuvurthyar.
      • Enhanced-Type Mishhuvurthyar (K-Clade Advanced-Type) are an extremely dangerous evolution that appear based on older Advanced-Type biology.
        • These are much larger than the Advanced-Type. Their size can be likened to a floating Crab-Type with more abundant tentacles. This allows the type to mount heavy weaponry.
        • Enhanced Mishhu can dimensionally phase their bodies to evade detection.
        • Often used in conjunction with their phasing power, Enhanced Mishhu have exhibited the ability to plant their bodies into the ground and burrow their tentacles with the goal of ensnaring their prey for consumption.
        • When grouped together, Enhanced-Types can somehow stun large groups of their foes. The mechanisms behind this talent and how to defeat or prevent it are the subject of intense study.
        • Most notably, Enhanced-Type Mishhu have an extremely rapid self-regeneration capability. In combination with the type's massive bulk, this makes their kind monumentally difficult to take down in the absence of high yield explosive force delivered in close proximity or via coordinated engagement from multiple Star Army infantry units.
          • This healing ability is most effective in warm temperatures and extreme cold has been demonstrated to hinder it.
      • The Phantasm-Type Mishhuvurthyar (K-Clade Nightmare-Type) appears to be a new evolution of the Nightmare-Type. Only one has been encountered. Although it was defeated, no remains were recovered for study. From appearances, this Mishhuvurthyar was hybridized using Nekovalkrja genetics similarly to older Nightmare-Types. All information regarding the Phantasm-Type is derived from power armor sensor readings alongside the medical examinations and testimonies of those individuals who fought against it (ref: Taisa Taiyou Hoshi, Chusa Ketsurui Aiko, Nepleslian Marine Captain William Sanders, two Ketsurui Samurai bodyguards).
        • It is possessed with a biological ability to manipulate aether energy, scalar fields, and gravitational forces around its body.
        • Similarly to the Enhanced-Type, it can rapidly regenerate. However, lacking the mass of Enhanced-Types it cannot do so with the same sustained effectiveness.
        • Although Psionic Signal Controllers proved effective in preventing the Phantasm-type from wirelessly tampering with the minds of Star Army personnel, it could easily overcome PSC protections via physical touch to inflict psychological damage. Despite PSC protections, the Phantasm-Type could communicate wirelessly with Star Army personnel absent any psychological damage. Additionally, one soldier whose PSC was rendered ineffective became easily subject to this Mishhuvurthyar's influence and died during the encounter.
        • The Phantasm can dimensionally phase its body to evade detection.
  4. Unencountered Others
    • Emperor Kitsurugi Uesu has stated he is building alliances with planets and factions local to the Uesureyan Empire's newly established region.
    • Task Force 282 has yet to contact any of these supposed locals, and none among their number participated in the pacification of Kessica Prime.
