Kyoto, Yamatai -- The Star Army of Yamatai updated its recruiting standards today, making clarifications on both what factors make an applicant eligible or ineligible for service in the Star Army of Yamatai. Fort Minori, Nataria - The Star Army announced today that the retirement package would require 15 years to unlock, an increase from the previous six. The Star Army of Yamatai has relatively-short 3-year terms of enlistment and thus 15 years would be equal to five full terms. The 15-year time-in-service requirement to retire is still only three quarter of the 20 years required by many businesses and other organizations. Because, due to mind-transfer technology, a soldier could theoretically live forever, benefits are finite by necessity. Asura - Tenth Fleet's historic Star Army & UOCPF starbase "Leo" has now been assigned to protect the Asura star system. It will continue to serve as the headquarters of the Star Army's tenth fleet. The re-positioning is part of a series of moves by Star Army Command to fortify the Asura system against attacks. As the empire's second most populated system, Asura is very important to protect. Siren System -- The jointly run mining system of Siren was today the site of an important meeting between top officials of Peacekeeper Heavy Industries and a delegation from the Lorath Matriarchy. These largely closed door negotiations were called at the express initiative of the Jiyuuian senator and acting CEO of PHI, Mochizuki Shiori, who, upon seeing the need for increased security of newly acquired industrial assets and improving notably tense border zone safety, reached out to her Lorath counterparts with the concept of creating a 'Joint Task Force.'
