OOC 4th Fleet OOC Thread

I don't want to step on Sigma's toes, but I can likely GM this plot. Alternatively, I'm getting ready to resume another plot of my own, also centered around the Nepleslian Marines - if you guys are worried I won't be able to portray the characters faithfully, that's another choice on the table.

Ok, here's the situation folks - I'd rather not take control of the 4th Fleet since all the characters and so forth have seen a lot of use and development under Sigma. I'm just not familiar with the characters themselves and don't want to portray them improperly, as I mentioned earlier. Instead, I highly suggest you guys join a relatively new plot, the Sledge Mama - you can either take your current characters and transfer them with no hassle (I'll do the 'paperwork' for you guys) and immediately get into the action. Right now, I've paused my plot Right at the calm before the storm, and it's the perfect time to get in.

Either reply here, or toss me a PM, and I'll do my best to accommodate you guys and anyone else.
 
I'm not totally familiar with the now vacant characters so I'll have to research them and get a feel for them. In the meantime I could get a couple side stories going. They have a week after landing and everyone would be doing something. I'll get working on that. If someone wants to help I'd would definitely appreciate it.
 
Well, I have been talking to Kampfer - another alternative would be for one of us to Co-GM, which would help lighten the load for both of us. The only problem I see is the one that keeps coming up. Unfamiliarity with the characters. I suggest that since this is 4th Fleet, rather than one particular plot ship, we simply shift focus to an entirely new GM/NPC cast and crew which we would both be familiar with.
 
Even in RL missions get withdrawn and cancelled. I see no reason why this one couldn't be. It's a little anti-climactic, but imo better than trying to continue.

As for the whole plot.... i have barely started, so i'm not really invested much.
 
Yes, we can just stop it where it is right now and move folks to the new thread for 4th Fleet, or Sledge Mama. If you want to stay, say so and I'll do my best to get things running here in 4th Fleet - I need to know who wants what. On that same train of thought, if you want to go for Sledge Mama, tell me what character you want to use (your current or a new one) so I can figure out how many folks I got with me. Shoot me a PM or post in the plot's OOC.

The sooner everyone makes their decision, the sooner we can get you all role playing.
 
@Warriorx1 , it definitely does. I'll get the work done and figure out getting you in ASAP. And everyone else here - can I get hands for who wants to stay in 4th Fleet, and who wants to go to Sledge Mama? The sooner I can figure out who goes where, the better.
