North Building, Lobby

Students had been passing through the lobby, alone or more frequently in twos and threes, for a few hours now. While each of the three class buildings generally had their own unique courses decided upon by the various teachers, this was one assignment they all shared. Now that a few weeks had passed and the students felt a bit more comfortable at the school, it was time to select a student council. Each class needed a class president and representative, and one student from each class would also be selected to assist at the North Building. The final nominees had yet to be determined, and the small size of each class only made the usual popularity contest these things devolved into more obvious.

So, it was time for the students to meet and greet, plead their cases and nominate their friends. Or enemies. Somehow, even with the limited number of positions available, almost everyone seemed to be up for at least one position. Whether they wanted the extra attention or not. The students from the East and West found themselves bumping into each other again in the lobby, as a rather loud girl with glasses attempted to badger Yuu into agreeing to vote for her, while Kunio found another rugby player trying to convince him to rope William into joining his campaign. At some point Hashimoto-sensei had received three anonymous nominations for 'the alien' as class president, and was trying to explain the concept to Zoia, while Sarena stood off by herself, trying to disappear. Until she was bowled over and knocked to the ground.

"Hey, watch where you're going, freak!" "Yeah, watch it!" The familiar voices of the twin Neko troublemakers were easy to make out, as they berated the Nepleslian. The person who'd knocked Sarena over loomed above her, silent for the moment. "You'd better apologize!" "Yeah, don't you know who you're messing with?" The twins popped up on either side of the taller figure, who seemed to be a Neko as well. Strangely, she was almost as tall as the Nepleslian, and bulkier than the average Neko, although still inhumanly lean and athletic. She was wearing a gakuran, with the jacket open to reveal white bandages covering her torso, including a substantial bust.

As the standing figure finally turned her cold, menacing stare towards Sarena, it was suddenly rather easy to recognize that derisive sneer. The twins had fallen in with the school's resident girl gang, led by none other than the Vermilion Bird of the South herself, second year student and Type 33A Nekovalkyrja, Piano Mezzo Forte. The first year student had a moment to realize her footwear was also not quite standard, as some sort of pointed boot was lifted towards Sarena's head.

"Bakayaro!"

Zoia was trying to get Neena to stop telling her about the presidential campaign. Honestly, part of her didn't believe she was nominated for anything. She did her best to try and avoid interactions with others, and maintain her focus on her school work.

"Look, I'm not trained to be a leader. I'm a soldier if anything. See?" She said, pointing to the carvings on her horn. She had spent some extra money to get a gold and red metal band in a brain made up on her spare time in the hopes that she wouldn't have to always wear the uniform, but she didn't get the chance to talk to the principals about it. "I don't even believe I've been nominated. I don't exactly have friends here" She added, trying to ignore everything going on.

Still, the alien couldn't help but overhear the commotion regarding a couple of Neko Girls and, of course, her roommate. The usual insult of Freak were being yelled out, nothing new to the alien. Odd it would be addressed to someone who at least looked like them. She had gotten the comment a few times, but she had to face it. Compared to the other students, she was a freak. Sarena, on the other hand, was far from a freak, which bothered Zoia. If you're going to use the term, use it right.

When Zoia noticed the possibility of violence, she had a problem. Even with her backwards views, she knew that fighting should stay on the mat, or it wasn't official. If it wasn't official, then the rules didn't apply. If the rules didn't apply, then these Neko's could kill her roommate. The idea of an empty room to herself again was tempting, but not that tempting to be sure. "Just a moment..." She said quickly walking over to even the playing field.

In one smooth action, she dropped her stuff, spun to get a little momentum, and wrapped her tail around the grounded ankle of the 2nd year student, using her tails abnormal strength compared to the rest of her body to pull it out from under the girl, using the momentum of the surprise attack to hopefully take on one of the other girls, snarling at the three of them in the process. She could at least try and make it a fair fight... Given her fight with Neena, she was confident in taking out a couple students. Especially if Sarena helped.

"S-sorry! I'm sorry!" Sarena's position wasn't exactly unfamiliar to her. Though their reasons varied, the crew of her ship were often upset with her, even when they'd chosen to have her come attend them, in the first place. It hadn't been the Nekos, before, though. Those in her 'family' had been among the better-behaved members of the company, though a few of them asked some very strange questions, or stalked and pounced on her for fun, at times. They hadn't made Sarena afraid... at least not after the initial surprise. This was different.

"I didn't mean to get in your way!" She shielded herself from the twins, afraid they would hit her, though when she noticed the leader of the trio, she was stunned enough to stop being scared and plaintive, for a moment. "Bird-senpai?" The next thought that crossed her mind was the irregularity of the twins calling her a freak when they were with a freak, too, but she decided not to say that part out loud. She suddenly had a number of questions for Piano... but now was not the time to ask them!

As Zoia leapt in to start the fight, Sarena began to scoot and roll away, amid the distraction. If she could only get to her feet and sneak off, she might avoid getting in even more trouble from being involved in a bloodbath. The tales of Zoia's... abilities... had gone far beyond the level of rumour around the school, recently, and Sarena had too much first-hand experience of the dangers of Vekimen fighting in close quarters to disbelieve the tales she'd heard second-hand.

William had been walking back from class when he saw what had happened. He saw the three Nekos pick on the only other Nepleslian in the school, and William was pissed. The normal calm look on his face was gone. "ENOUGH!!!" William yelled as the fight broke out. The normally quiet student seething with rage.

"If you pick on Sarena-San again, I will have you taste the edge of my Kendo swords, school be damned!" He said drawing both of the black wooden swords. "If you continue on this course of action I will send all three of you to the nurse... maybe then you will learn manners..." He said dropping into a low stance to show he was seriously about to take them on.

Tavigo had been on his way back to his shed when he overheard the commotion looking over to see the troublemakers and their new leader Tavigo put his tools off to the side and marched in. "Not this again." He snarled before picking up the two trouble makers by the backs of their collars and dangling them in the air. "Haven't caused enough trouble for others? Vermillion want repeat of last fight? I ready to take on again." Tavigo wrapped his tail around Serena's arm and helped her up. "No worry all good now."

Kunio was mid conversation with the other Rugby player when he heard the scuffle, reaching quickly for his sword before seeing the groundskeeper do his work. He relaxed and bid a friendly farewell to the other player as he took heavy stride to William, touched his shoulder firmly and gave a stern look and shook his head, "They are not worth it."

He rested his left hand on the now cleaned scabbard as if to toss it to his right hand but didn't make it look too threatening. "It's like I say to some of the Rugby players, 'Don't invite the ref.'" He gave quick smile to the groundskeeper and mouthed the word, 'thanks.' Before looking at Sarena with a worried-yet-curious look.

Halted mid-stomp, the tall Neko had to plant her boot on the ground instead of Sarena's face, as the foot that had been supporting her was suddenly grabbed and tugged into the air. Gravity manipulation was obviously involved in the flip she performed as her foot was lifted into the air, kicking that leg to free herself from the alien's tail. Her jacket fluttered, but her billed hat remained on her head and her hands were still in her pockets as she landed on two feet again rather nonchalantly. "Look, the other freak's sticking up for her freak friend!" "Oh, you're gonna get it now!" The Neko twins had backed away a few steps after that surprise intervention, eyes wide above the oddly decorated surgical masks covering their mouths. They were about to hop back into the fight when Tavigo snatched them up, the pair flailing their arms and legs as they were picked up by their collars, looking like kittens hanging by the scruffs of their necks with the big mama cat looming behind them.

"Kisama..." The Divine Queen glared daggers at Zoia as she took a step forward, showing no concern for the fate of her two minions behind her. Her focus shifted as William inserted himself between them, drawing his weapons. Her sneer only grew. "You Neps should really know your place..." She lifted her right foot again, showing off the rather narrow high heel, as well as likely demonstrating where she felt their proper place was. "Listen to your friend, put those toys away before I break them~" She tilted her head back and laughed...

...before seeming to disappear.

Hashimoto, as experienced as she was in hitting high speed moving targets, was possibly the only one in the room able to follow her movements. Especially since she was heading in her direction. The tall Neko passed right by William and Kunio, two neatly sliced sections of black wood clattering to the floor as he was left holding two useless hilts. They could feel the rush of air as her body suddenly accelerated past them, as Forte's face unexpectedly filled Zoia's view, smiling wildly at her. The next thing they knew, she had jerked her upper body vertical again, that still hovering foot snapping upwards to aim a soccer style punt at the Vekimen's lowered head. She was twisted almost horizontal by now, hands still in her pockets, smiling upside-down at Tavigo and the rest of the crowd now behind her.

"Yare yare~"

Sarena flung herself to her feet, and half-staggered, half-fell her way into cover, behind one of the pillars supporting the lobby. Reaching into a pouch, she withdrew a lemon, then took out her knife. It was not a good fruit to eat, but there was more to life than that!

"When life gives you lemons, you make... lemon halves..?" Sarena mumbled to herself, as she sliced the fruit apart, before placing her knife back in its sheath and gripping one lemon half in each hand by the rind, the flesh facing outward. She glanced back to the fight, and began to creep into position behind the big Neko...

Tavigo snarled at Piano. "I you remember what I able do to you if persist." Tavigo tossed the two trouble makers to the side and unsheathed his antique dagger. He held it in front of himself in a way that left very few openings for Piano.

"You should no quarrel with classmates. What cause you anger can talk out, but if choose to continue, I be opponent."

Zoia could care less about the big words, especially when the Neko disappeared. Despite only having a second or two, Zoia was able to process enough of the attack to mount a counter attack against the Neko trying to kick her in the head. She had underestimated how tough the Vekimen were in her arrogance. She didn't try to dodge, instead using the strength of her legs to launch herself forward into the reach of the kick. While not stopping the kick, Zoia would be safe from the brunt of the attack, grabbing the Neko girl as tight as she could. Her claws could break skin, but this was unsanctioned, and the amount of force perceived in the fight cause the Vekimen to go into survival mode.

In tandem with her claws, the alien tried to clamp her lethal jaws down on the Neko, knowing they were effective enough Neko to cause extreme amounts of damage. The earth help her if the alien bit down on something with a bone in it, after what she did to Neena. Even more, if Zoia was able to get her incisors into her flesh and dump a "healthy" amount of Venom into the girl's system. Regardless, if her jaw came down on something, anything at all, it would be mangled ad require a trip to the Medical Ward. Zoia could deal with another stern talking too about lethal force in a fight. This bitch asked for it...

((Zoia had three options. Fight, Flight, or Freeze. Three guesses as to which one she took :p))

Kunio watched the fractured pieces of wood clatter to the floor of his roommate's swords. His eye twitched for a moment, "Huh...She's asking for it." He unsheathed his Katana, floating himself slightly above the crowd. Rocketing behind the Vekimen and the Neko, Kunio made his decision. He would swing his Katana to the Neko's neck but not cut in the event that the Vekimen failed in her attack. He planned on stopping about 3 centimeters from the neck. If he didn't need to swing he wouldn't.

Rei and Sakaki moved towards the hall in an eager pace. Sakaki was extremely worried about what had taken them away from they conversation while Rei was only mildly worried, having anticipated this kind of ruckus at some point.

Rei had sent an encrypted message to the principal that said, "You should be in the North Building's lobby! Isogu!"

They came up from behind Zoia. Sakaki separated from Rei to back away from the fight, hands up, though, ready to spring into action.

"Yame! Yame!" Rei telepathically said to Piano as she formed a ball of manipulated energy, unlike anything a standard Neko could do. Rei, an Eihei Neko, forced the powerful ball forward, aimed at hitting Piano with a thrust the 33A had never felt before.

Forte's kicks focused their power in the pointed toe or sharp heel of her boot, so her leg slamming into Zoia's midsection did considerably less damage than the legend killing punt to the head would have. Her casual expression briefly became a grimace of pain as the Vekimen's claws dug in. Much like before, her kick transitioned into a flip, whirling the attached creature through the air with her, using her tail to swat Kunio's sword down and away, sending him a bit off-balance in the process. The Neko let gravity take over, with interest, once she had Zoia flipped underneath her. Forte crashed on top of her, leg buried in her torso, thankfully knocking the breath from the alien as she was opening her muzzle for a toothy chomp.

The Queen had barely registered the crowd assembling behind her to attack her, eyes burning as she cranked up her personal gravity to crush the alien under her leg in an attempt to dislodge and disable it. Zoia felt an incredible weight on her chest for a few moments, until the burst of energy slammed into the back of the distracted gang leader, causing her to suddenly collapse half on top of the Vekimen. Unconscious, her manipulation of gravity abruptly ended. Seeing their leader lying in a tangle of limbs, one of hers rather torn and bloody, the twins scampered to escape as soon as Tavigo released them. The students could hear their Principal bellowing for them to make way as she waded through the crowd towards the disruption at its center.

Sarena crept up on Forte, pausing briefly in terror as the Vekimen was flipped overhead, but by the time she was in range, the fight seemed to be over already. She nudged Piano Mezzo Forte's leg, worriedly, then looked around at the crowd, and offered up her weapons. "Would anybody like some lemon?"

Tavigo grabbed a lemon half and bit into it before squeezing some of it onto a cloth and rubbing it on the larger wounds of Piano. "Thank. This is punishment and for clean wounds."

Tavigo gently picked up Piano and began to carry her to the nurses office. "Make way wounded student."

Bryn was in her element, talking to the self-styled candidates and trying to find a star to hitch herself to. She wasn’t too worried about what job she got, just so long as she was part of the wheeling and dealing process that was school politics.

Nenna on the other hand, was hard pressed to get across the concept of a presidency to Zoia, though she didn’t seem all that interested. Probably a good thing. I can’t imagine what a President Zoia would do to the school…both good and bad. “That doesn’t mean that you can’t use this to push some of the issues that you find important. Like the dress code for instance,” she said, nodding at the band on the Vekimen’s horn.

The teacher was interrupted when Zoia decided to go to Sarena’s aid. Oh joy, she thought, looking at the confrontation. Miss Peacock is pushing people around…again. Either way, she decided to not intervene directly, as Tavigo and the three other students seemed to at least have things under control. No need to get in a brawl that crowded.

Bryn for her part watched the fight with mixed feelings. Course, I would love for Piano to win, but if she does, does that mean she’s a better fighter than Hashimoto-sensei?

At least this is fun to watch, the Nito Juni thought as Piano used her abilities to the level that made her the Divine Queen of the South Dorms. It took being teamed up by two students and an energy blast in the back to put the Neko down.

The Eastern student shrugged at the outcome of the fight and turned to her neighbor. “I wonder what a fair fight would look like, ehh?”

Seeing the two troublemakers try to run away, Nenna quickly maneuvered to be in front of them, folding her arms and giving them her patented drill sergeant’s glare. “You’re not going anywhere,” she said, reaching up and took the pair’s shoulders, turned them around, and duckwalked them back to the scene of the crime.

After raising an eyebrow at the Qaktoro’s childish antics, the snow-skinned Neko looked at the fruit holding Nepleslian and asked, “Sarena, can you help Zoia up?”

Sarena looked at Nenna, looked at Zoia, where she lay, then took a step backward, as if suddenly realizing she was just barely within reach. "Oh... I don't think I should, without armour." She took a few more steps to get some distance between her and the twins, then started following Tavigo, to help him carry Forte to the nurse/principal.

William was stunned to see that his swords were shattered. He looked down at the splintered hilts in shock. He has spent a lot of time when he was young to save up for those kendo swords. They were special to him, and now... "You... I'm going to kill you!!!" He moved to throw a punch, but before he could everyone jumped her at once. She was knocked out by the combined assault of both faculty and students alike. His face contorted in anger, because he wasn't able to strike her down. As things settled down, he moved to walk out. He rudely shouldered his way past the twins with a look that could melt Nerimium. As he passed the door he threw his useless hilts in the garbage and stormed away.

Tavigo looked back at Sarena and saw William throw away his hilts. "Thank for help miss." He thought to himself that he would return for the hilts and talk to William later.

He came back and diged through the trash for the hilts. Finding them he went looking for William. Upon finding him Tavigo held out the hilts. "I can fix yes. Calm down be happy you should. We spar if need hit someone."

Zoia had to admit, the whole gravity thing the Neko's could do was really... REALLY fucking annoying! The force of the impact as she was slammed into the ground several times harder than what was naturally possibly shot the air out of her lungs but didn't leave her defenseless. Unlike others in the VDTF, she had been winded before, and she could at least function if not very well when such a thing happened. It, however, seemed that she would not need to act. The unconscious body of the Neko landed on top of her, and was eventually pulled off her.

She needed a minute though. She needed to let her muscles relax and get breathing properly again before getting up and looking at her bloodies claws. Part of her wanted to lick them clean, while another part of her told her it was probably a bad idea. When she saw Sarena following after the girl who was about to rearrange her face, dotting on her like a concerned parent, she scoffed. "Pathetic, spineless, welp" She hissed, her voice clearly alien rather than the normal voice she put on around the crowds. "Why did I expect anything less honestly" She asked herself in her native tongue, looking around at everyone, specifically the principal. Oh joy... She probably wouldn't hear the end of this one even if she was recovering.
