About the Evangelist
Designed after the defeat of Elysian forces by the hands of the star army, the Evangelist is an attempt at bringing Elysian ships into more modern times. The Evangelist is rare in design because it only has two weapons on the entire ship that perform all the functions of the normal spread of beam weapons found on most Elysian ships. The ship also takes design elements from second generation Qel'noran ship hulls and uses much back-engineered technology from what was observed in battle against the Star Army.

Dimensions and Crew Compliment
Organizations Using This Vessel: ESN
Type: General Purpose starship.
Class: Cruser, Evangelist class
Designer: dood mc. man
Manufacturer: Elysian shipyards
Production: can't say until used in RP

Crew: 1 captain, 2 pilots, 2 gunners, 3 orbit pod controllers, 1 communications officer, 1science officer, 1 quartermaster, 33 technicians.
Maximum Capacity: 200
Appearance: the Evangelist has a smooth, no frills, design much resembling 2nd generation Qel'noran hull. The Evangelist has a sleep egg like shape and drive systems tucked inside of the Egg for added protection at a small cost to maneuverability. Having the engines mounted inside of the ship instead of on nacelles hanging out on either side makes the Evangelist a smaller target. The front of the ship has an opening hatch and the entire center of the ship is hollowed out to make a cavity. This is taken up by the main weapon system of the ship but the main weapon can be taken out in order to make more cargo room. Because the entire center of the ship is taken up by weapons and drive systems a single ring around this acts as the only way to move between either side of the ship without leaving the ship and entering through an airlock.

Length: 140
Width: 50
Height: 16
Decks: 2
Mass: Weight of the ship or mecha in 1G.
Performance Statistics
Speed (STL): 65c
Speed (FTL): 100,000c
Range (Support): three months
Lifespan: The ship is designed to last 10 years before requiring replacement.

Inside the Evangelist
The Evangelist is highly Spartan, only having the most basic necessities needed to survive for the technicians and only comfortable quarters for officers on the left side of the ship. The left side of the ship also holds the shuttle bay and cargo area. The right side of the ship holds the sensors, bridge, engineering, and armory. The internals of the ship is made using the typical Elysian recycling and internal systems with their typical white internals and construction materials. The bridge is a single two deck room with the captain's chair ontop of an armored bulge in the floor that houses the main computer. The rest of the crew sits at their stations and are hardwired to the captain of the ship through a simple mind/machine interface. The captain is hardwired into the main computer through a more extensive M/MI and can censor all inputs coming from his subordinates that sit below him going to the main computer.
Ship Systems
Hull: The hull of the ship is made out of a new, cheap to produce, Elysian material. While not as strong as other materials it transfers any kinetic or thermal energy over the entire surface to dissipate its effect. Thermal energy also causes the material to want to conform to its original shape, making repairs easy. The Hull also has a series of replaceable reactive armor scales that release stored space when struck, moving everything away from the scale. This jettisons the scale from the craft and removes the danger from most threats caught in the effect.
Airlock System: The ship has four airlocks, two on either side of the ship one in front on top and one in back on the underside.
Escape Pods: The Evangelist has 3 escape pods each large enough to hold 6 people comfortably or up to 14 each in an emergency. The Evangelist also carries 3 memory back up pods, each carrying a back up record of all the data recorded by the ship. One is built into the main computer system and armored heavily while the other two carry their own small FTL systems in case the ship is destroyed. One is programmed to seek out the nearest Elysian ship while the other is designed to return to the Elysian home world.
Environmental Systems: The Evangelist has environmental systems.
Air Recycling System: The Evangelist carries several reserve tanks of oxygen as well as airborne scrubber nanomachines that change C02 into o2. The ship's internal systems collect and purify these nanomachines. This system can operate for near three months before requiring additional oxygen. Emergency supplies can refill the entire ship with Oxygen and keep it running for an additional 2 weeks.

FTL: The ship's FTL system compresses space, bringing the destination closer to the ship relative to the ship's point of view. To an outside observer the ship appears to be moving at FTL speeds.

Gravity Projectors (6): These allow the ship to project focused beams of gravity to drag or move objects outside of the hull. In combat these are used to move the beam splitter orbit pods around.

Lab: The Evangelist has a lab on its left side that doubles as a medical bay. While not the most sophisticated lab set up the Evangelist has a variety of special sensors, microscopes, and other devices to conduct a preliminary investigation of anything that the ship might encounter. The lab's medical facilities are also quite limited. It is capable of handling everything up to amputation and simple surgery but is not designed to handle large loads of casualties or complex injuries.

Sensor and Computer Systems: The hierarchy computer system is designed to give the captain complete and total control of his ship and his subordinates. Internal order and control is placed above actual performance stats.
General Omnipresent Device: The General Omnipresent Device is the computer that controls the entire ship, while having the capability to run the ship on its own it lacks any personality or avatar and is generally inert unless the captain is in the captain's chair. The computer interfaces directly with the captain through a mind/machine interface. Once interfaced with the captain it uses his/her brain to monitor its own functions, giving the captain total control over what processes are being carried out by the computer. The captain's chair is an indention into the armored sphere that the main computer inhabits and the MMI wires itself into the captain through direct contact with the captain's nervous system.
Sensor Thingamajig: The sensor Thingamajig is a combined series of different sensors designed to track all known types of partials and distortions in space. While not as sophisticated as the sensor systems used by other shipyards the Thingamajig is a Frankenstein combination of what the Elysians currently have.
Shield Systems: The Evangelist has a simple easy to produce shield system that merely provides a barrier of kinetic energy against objects coming in contact with it. The shield is more suited to protect against light weapons and navigational hazards. Because ships of its size tend not to survive more than one hit from a main weapon in an engagement the ship is designed to use its speed and numbers in order to evade destruction. Heavy shielding was not incorporated into the design.
Weapons:
Multiple Engagement Weapon(2):
The Evangelist carries two large energy cannons running along the center of the ship. The cannons can only fire forward and fire a much more powerful version of the typical Elysian beam weapon. Because of the lack of Elysian miniaturization technology, orbit weapon pods are not yet within their reach. Instead the ship is orbited by a series of special pods that reflect or bend the main beam. The 30 of these pods onboard the Evangelist perform the task of aiming the beam using the reflective surfaces on the hemi-spherical pods or their own gravity generators to bend the beam. 6 beam splitter pods also orbit the ship, each able to split the main beam into 2 half-strength beams. Using these the ship is capable of projecting 8 additional beams total. 2 additional orbit pods can split the main beam into 8 additional beams. These beam splitter pods do not have their own drive systems and must be moved by the ship's own gravity projectors.
Location: Center of the ship, running along the center cavity of the ship.
Primary Purpose: Anti-starship
Secondary Purpose: Anti-everything else.
Damage: Heavy
Range: 8LY before the beam dissipates enough to have no effect.
Rate of Fire: Continuous
Payload: 1 hour of continuous fire.

Is this ever going to be completed?

I forgot I posted this...

For now it is one of the half baked projects but I'll try and finish baking it later.

I see this is on the wiki but I'm not sure it was actually approved as canon.

Since Candon got one of them in the RP, it might be worth looking at the page again to see if there's any improvements we need to make to make it approvable.

You may just want to treat it as a large, mostly empty, ship hull.

Maybe have Fandom treat it as a fixer upper hot rod.

Ohh... perhaps there is another heavily damaged cruiser to swap with?
This was a stupid question, I should've read the OOC alert first.

Candon doesn't have the skills to build an entire ship. :( That was Dirjon, he was the engineer. I'd much rather restore an existing ship than submit a new one. If I make a ship I'd want it to be the Izanagi
