Hello there, Star Army folks!
It's a pleasure to meet all of you. The name's Ryder. I'm a 19-year-old student looking to get back into forum RPs like I did in my high school years. Might be a fun way to pass the time, no? I mean, I love storytelling and all that, and plus this site seems to have a ton of awesome stuff, so I'm more than willing to give it a shot.
Though I will admit I tried signing up a few years back, I ultimately gave up because I felt a smidge overwhelmed. But not this time! I feel now that I've had some more experience RPing on other sites and mediums, that I should come back and try this massive world out again.
So, since I'm feeling a tinge lazy and this is a perfectly good template, may as well fill it out so as to leave few loose ends behind, right?
What do you call yourself?
Ryder! Though if you want to call me by my real name, feel free to DM me and I'll let you know. I'm not shy about it!
How'd you find Star Army?
I remember looking around awhile back and joining, but I was so frightened by how much the site has to offer that I turned my heel and ran away. But that was 16-year-old high school me. Until now, I had completely forgotten that this site existed. It was when I had joined RPG-Directory and someone from this site had given me some tips that I had recalled how expansive this RPG is and decided that it's about time I came back and gave it another shot.
What interested you in joining?
The Universe. Definitely. I'm a sucker for worldbuilding and seeing the creativity of players that come in and use their creativity to mold their own little section of it.
Ever done this text-based roleplaying thing before?
Awhile back in high school when things weren't so busy, I would jump onto forum RPGs and help with telling a story. Buuut I was new, and my skills when it comes to writing full-on paragraphs every few minutes were rather weak at best. But I've built up some stamina when it comes to writing, and I hope that it may prove fruitful in weaving a yarn with other folks on here!
Any previous experiences you want to share?
Vague question. No idea. Not really much that's gone on in my life that's really noteworthy.
Now for the questionnaire!
Do you prefer:
Ooh, I've got a lot of ideas. I can't name them off the top of my head though.
Anyways, so that's a little about me. Feel free to pm me or something if you wanna chat or if you have an RP idea! Can't wait to see you all on the site!
Cheers!

Vague question. No idea. Not really much that's gone on in my life that's really noteworthy.

Do you prefer:
- Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters?
Males.
- Spontaneous or planned RP?
Either or. Though expect me to toss in a little planning for even spontaneous roleplays, just so I can understand what's going on or what my partner wants to do.
- Military or civilian characters?
Civilian, mostly, but I'm willing to give military characters a shot.
- Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens?
Any! Mostly humans or androids, though. I'm a sucker for mechanical characters.
- Being on a starship or being on a planet?
Once more, either or. I love being a part of a starship crew, but I also think that it'd be a wasted opportunity to not go down and take a look at a planet when it's practically handed to you on a shiny platter.
- Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time?
I'm fine with both, just depends on my schedule. Ask me if you're unsure!
- Language:
3. No need to censor yourself or your character around me. How much a character swears can tell a lot about them - Violence:
3. Things happen. We're in the depths of space. - Sexuality:
3. I'm 19. Like language, how sexual a character gets with another can often give away a lot about their personality and, like violence, things happen. We're in the depths of space.
Ooh, I've got a lot of ideas. I can't name them off the top of my head though.
Anyways, so that's a little about me. Feel free to pm me or something if you wanna chat or if you have an RP idea! Can't wait to see you all on the site!
