[Iromakuanhe] KORD System

So basically, it's a simple inertial manipulation device. For those objects within the KORD bubble/frame of reference, the principles of inertia/momentum don't exist or are reduced, relative to objects outside the bubble/frame of reference. In other words, objects within KORD bubbles behave as though they are of greatly reduced mass when affected by outside forces, and the entire bubble behaves as a unified body, distributing forces evenly throughout the frame of reference so that objects within don't accelerate independently of each other due to outside forces. When affected by an outside force (such as the compressed space corridor created by their drive system or kinetic kill missiles of an enemy ship), the KORD bubble as a whole is accelerated a great deal more along the force's vector than the mass within the bubble would normally dictate. I'm just summarizing the overall effect as i understand it, not the mechanism (whether it be some 'hiding' of mass or a redistribution of forces, the effect is the same).

It doesn't seem like anything that isn't already done by more advanced inertia manipulation systems used by other races. All Star Army of Yamatai starships have something similar- not to mention every living Nekovalkyrja and Yamataian, though theirs is both weaker (when comparing the amount of mass manipulated) and more flexible (when comparing the degree of control) than the KORD system. The KORD's sole advantage and point of differentiation, as far as i can see, is that, because it only does one thing, it's probably simpler to implement.
