[Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

I can see this becoming a casing which allows for large, extremely-long lived creatures to survive, and even thrive without atmosphere. If this were approved, I would try to write up Space Fauna, perhaps things that create their own energy or feed on Nebulae and the like.

I think this is a cool submission.

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

Just to get some clarification, is it safe to assume that Veyrinite is akin to Yamataium/Leptonium, save for a few small differences;

- it is a regenerative armor (requiring blocks of metal, or if it has an antimatter or zero-point/aether generator, be regenerated indefinitely from the energy output)

- requires a (comparatively small, if a bodies bioelectric energy can sustain an eighth of the bodies mass,) electric charge in order to sustain shape and not turn into a puff of smoke

- can do all the bonding stuff most Iroma organotech can accomplish

---

Also, if I'm reading this right, this wiki of veyrinite armor puts it in the same DR category (Heavy) as Nerimium, Yamataium and Zesuaium in terms of mecha/powered armor.

Are we to assume that this stuff is the best of the best the Iroma have in terms of outright physical protection?

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

If I read the wiki right, the rarest too. Or more expensive form protection.

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

I first want to say that I greatly dislike the fact that material is capable of spontaneously making more of itself with nothing more than a lot of energy. To my knowledge there is no material even theorized to have this ability. Some very odd exotic matter may (I stress may) be able to alter other matter into itself, but none can spontaneously duplicate itself.

Secondly, I am (as I told you when you initially discussed the material with me) very much against the material existing in any meaningful amount in a natural (however energetic) state. If it exists in any minable quantity in one region it would be expected that someone else would have found it long ago, particularly considering its utility. As said in our earlier discussion I could see it existing in tiny quantities in nature (in the after-effects of high energy events like supernova remnants) without it bringing about the issue of no one else having found it. I mean tiny quantities, like a few kilos for a single star.

Also, decays of matter are pretty predictable and it would be extremely strange that a material would have a random decay chain.

On the armor, I see no way a armor could generate any sort of passive space-time manipulation on a scale meaningful to anything larger than a atomic nuclei without being absolutely massive.

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

Are these recent Iromakuanhe submissions working towards something in particular?

The question I keep asking myself at the moment is, "Is it really justifiable to accept these new advanced submissions into the setting when weighed against the Iromakuanhe roleplay actually taking place at the moment." or more basically "Whats this going to be used for exactly?"

I guess I'm in the camp of preferring a submission as a whole unit, rather than various components approved at different times.

My own approach to the process for the Occhestans has been to generally use the things we already have, working most specifically on those which would help directly in establishing the base of a new Occhestan plot. When the Sohkohl is approved the Occhestans will have a usable core set of plot items, a plotship, a fighter, and a power armor.

Regarding the material itself, like Vesper I'm not particularly fond of magically self regenerative materials.

Occhestan's have armor that is somewhat self regenerative, but this involves micro machines that fill damaged areas with a quick hardening gel that is weaker than the armor is replaces. See here for the IMRS

---

As a small thought though, Iromakuanhe are northern, Occhestans are northern, plot interaction opportunity perhaps? Once Occhestans are fully up and running again of course.

Re: [Iromakuanhe] Veyrinite and Veyrinite Armor

I think I've been pretty clear on the fact that I've been gearing up to design more powerful but ergonomic (in the sense that I'm building everything to be more natural to use for new players) mecha for a while now, and the innovation itself has IC and OOC basis.

First, that not I'm entirely satisfied with the way that the tech I wrote a year and a half ago is being used, and second, that their current mecha design is a little over a century old.

I also prefer designing things component by component first, and having a majority of the things I'll be using worked out beforehand. I completely get that you prefer things the other way around, but it really isn't a valid gripe when the administration encourages pre-submitting items in articles and linking to them for new submissions.

At any rate, you may consider the armor component of this submission withdrawn. Veyrinite will likely not see usage outside of propulsion, power train and a few subsystems.

Exhack, this still needs to be approved before using it on your other armor. I will spare the rod on a long winded shpeal about what has been said in here since I'd rather no drama begin, and cut straight to the chase.

The armor could possibly still viable to me at least, but I would say make it extremely rare, and I mean, to the point of someone needing explicit permission from you to even consider it (In the past, it was a big thing to have Zesu armor for PA's. You didn't get it on demand, it was earned I only ever let one person in my plot have it, and he earned it through trust and well crafted writing.) This, could be construed as a badge of honor, of a firm nod of belief in one's writing ability, and character development. A sort of IC reward for their stalwart dedication and hard work both figuratively, and literally ICly and OOCly.

Some of what has been said could be taken, and adapted to make it a better over all material (More viable in armor format for example), which, in the long run would help you, and the Iromakuanhe to get this approved. This is just my take on the armor portion.

However.

The material component, it needs some revisions... Some of what is being said is cut off, and is making no sense. Grammar, as well as spelling should be checked. While I know you've adapted it to material form, when I've read it, it only seemed partially done.

Also,

Scribbles. While I can wholly appreciate you wishing to garner some interaction for the Occhestans (As I think they deserve some limelight due to some hardwork being put into them.), this is neither the time, nor place to do so. It would be better if you'd PM'd, or spoke to him directly. Or maybe made a post in the generalize section of the "Roleplay and Setting Discussion" forum to maybe expand on whom may wish to interact with the Occhestan people. Please do not take it the wrong way, it is just that this is the technologies and setting development forum. No offense is intended.

Here are a few examples of the spelling and grammar
- Veyrinite is an exotic matematerial that does
