Microsoft Word does wonders, though sadly firefox doesn't do grammar.

Typically I get hit by this if I don't read over what I wrote, I don't think my Open office or Chrome pick up on it since the word is correct, and typically either word can be used properly depending on what is said.

Especially if it's an Italian accent : P

GMs should be publicly crucified for consistently atrocious spelling and formatting errors... Uso, I'm counting them.

This thread was great! It's too bad its potential has been forgotten about! (See what I did there?) I'm going to say that I used to be pretty bad about this but have reformed after I simply learned: It's is a contraction and ownership doesn't need to be denoted by an apostrophe when referring to something as it.
 
The worst offender was a certain GM who insisted that the wrong way was correct and that a teacher had told him it was. One time I went off linking dictionary site after dictionary site to him showing he was wrong and he still wouldn't listen...
