Kotori's lips

I was gathering the amount of concept artwork accumulated from the back-and-forth process of making the latest Kotori commission (original sketch here) I had done and ended up not quite decided on the lips I'd prefer for her.

So, I made this up in Photoshop:

I showed this picture to the guys in IRC, and people commented, but there was no good way of keeping tally with the discussion going on. I was suggested to 'poll' it, so, I'm bringing this over to the forum.

Of course, polls don't work... so, if you want to chip in, just make a post, say which you prefer between the right, center and left versions... and explain the reason of your choice.

Coloration on the lips of the right-hand picture are also brighter than the other two, that might be making them look bigger. Darken them so they match the other two, or maybe a bare shade darker, and it could work.

As it is, and with the expression Kotori has in the picture, the left one does look best. But I also like Exhack's reason for picking the middle. And he probably knows Kotori better than I do, I'm just going off the look and not the character.
 
I'd have to say middle, or left myself. Most likely middle, for the same reason that Exhack had pointed out; he couldn't have said it in better words. Severe to the left, excessive to the right from my point of view. Missing may be correct about the coloration of the rightmost lips though, so it may be worth taking a look into.
 
Yeah the pic on the far right with the fullest lips is a bit much. I am drawn to the middle or left. I seem to favor the middle one the most. The left picture feels like there's a bit of a vacuum between the nose and chin areas. Also the slight fullness without being too full is a more mature rendition of this somewhat older portrayal of Kotori.

So my final vote would be for the middle rendition.
 
Middle appears to be the clear winner, with left being the runner up and right coming in last.

Seeing Missing comment about the lip color making a difference on the right one may have been pertinent. I actually 'transplanted' the lips from a previous, more milky-skinned version of Kotori that came earlier. I thought the lips looked good on it, but the skin/lip contrast might've worked better.

I remember this thread fondly. Do you still have the example pictures, @Fred?
