M10 Assault Helmet

This isn't gundum!

It seems kinda pointless, though... Carrying the ammo for the effective pistols for your head when one won't be able to use them effectively at all...

NSP is an energy pistol. Also, most people i've talked to support this idea.

I've never read nor heard of you ever doing an IC armor piloting, so yeah.

Truth be told, I idly came up with the idea on IRC a few weeks ago, which is why I can vouch for its feasability. I wasn't thinking about Gundam so much as a old movie about a guy flying a helicopter gunship whom had its underslung gattling gun slaved to head movements of the pilot.

Seemed handy to have something like NSPs set up on each side of the helmet or somesuch. I actually found it a bit funny, because it essentially made it so that power armor could give looks that could kill. Heh.

Seemed a decent kind of helmet to have, especially if you didn't expect to need too much in the ways of sensors.

My only thing is, should this be Mecha DR 1, or personnel DR 4? The NSP is typically PDR 4, but the heavy mode is MDR 1.

I figured, that because there is more power available from the armor, it should be able to fire Heavy-like bolts in rapid succession.

I was more inclined to think they would be purely anti-personnel myself.

I'd hate to see the recoil of the Heavy mode for the neck and head of the user.

Fivemarks, you're using Nepleslian technology without permission. Again. Unless you talked to MoonMan, I doubt anyone said you could use those Monoeyes.

Monoeyes themselves arent Nespleslian copyright. Unless you want to say that Zeon stole the tech from Nespleslia.

Doesn't that just mean a head with one eye?

Then call it a "single eye" instead of "monoeye," because it's not a monoeye in the sense that "monoeye" refers to.

We already had this arguement on IRC. We're not bringing it to the forums.

Not everyone goes to the IRC.

What is this exactly going to be used for? If it is for armor it still seems pointless and a bit of a strain on the pilot as I imagine SPINE is, being that you have to fight any impulses to shoot the weapon or anything like that until actually prompted in a situation to.

I imagine if'n you think about it you might fire it, much like if you think about a itch or something you had before and it begins to irritate again.

If you have problems with the Kylie's brain reading system, complain to wes or Doshii.

There shouldn't be any problem on the level of control interface. Most of Yamatai's citizenry are artificial lifeforms; they're made so to interface with these things well. Nekos especially - it's stated several times that nekovalkyrja have little problem adapting to the KFY armors - even first time users.

A neko turning her head to eye someone and then trigger a missile launch from a leg launcher ought to be the same. You need to eye the target, have a target lock and then decide to fire. It's nothing new that should be cause for concern.

A monoeye seems a little redudant, though. I'd just opt for a sensor strip on the front of the visor to house the Wide-Band Variable Optical Imaging Array.
