RP: Section 6 Meet Aras: Like Minds Align

---188604// Osman city star port// mid-day---

The star port consisted of several terminal buildings land in area, a few hangars, warehouses and a concrete area for cargo in standby for transfer to awaiting freighters.

It was not developed as much in comparison to other ports on other worlds, but was efficient for its function and size. Past one end the large megacity of Osman the USO's capital was easily visible a relatively short distance away, while past the other end being the harsh deserts the planet was known for. To either side was mix of the two, and the port itself a buzz of activity.

Aras' ship docked into the bustling port of the megacity, largely overshadowed by the bustle of the rest of the port. "Now for a new life." she said to herself, glancing at a burnt doll to her side. She looked up, "This is for you." She said. She exited her shuttle, stepping into the port with a smile on her face. As the world bustled arounder she simply marched toward the exit, a new life awaiting her.

Entering the terminal Aras is greeted by vids advertising everything from Akemi's restaurant, port regulations, FSC products, Ragnarok and SkyGuard recruitment, and an ad for Section 6 employment opportunities with departments listed.listed.

Aras scans over the vids, the jop opportunities catching their eyes. As the ad for medical work scrawls by she watches intently. An adress is dysplayed at the end of the ad, "I guess that's where I'm going," She says to herself quietly. She turns away from the screen, reaady to continue into the bright new day.

Aircabs would be waiting outside the entrance to the terminal.

She walks over to the cabs and enters one. "Could you take me to the Section Six main facility?" she asks with a cheery tone.

The cab driver would nod and pull away from the port taking a short arc through the city to exit it's limits onto a long stretch of metal grated highway made to keep it from being lost to the vast deserts. On the horizon to the east a sand storm passes by the region.

After a twenty minute drive, a sprawling neighborhood can be seen as the highway's end. Behind a little further in the distance is a tall black warehouse like structure. The cab would travel through the neighborhood of nice two story hoses with actual lawns of grass contrasting the sands beyond the neighborhood. As the cab exit this area the rest of the facility became possible, a second smaller warehouse attached to it, several extensions, a

Aras stares out the window of the cab, a look of wonder on her face. She had never been to a city this large before, let alone the fact she was getting a job there. The thought of rejection crossed her mind for a moment, but she decided to ignore it. "If I get rejected I'll just move on," She says slightly to loud. "What?" the driver says, "Nothing." Aras mutters in return. Finally the cab slowly crawls to a stop in front of the building and aras steps out. She hands the driver a tip and continues on her way.

The the front entrance Aras is greeted by a makeshift reception area, the walls are obviously not quite finished in some spots, and a wood desk awaits. Behind it sits a very bored looking woman in a black with red stripe Section 6 uniform, a long scar running down the side of her face.

Aras walks up to the woman, "Excuse me? I'd like to ask about getting a job in the medical department.".

"You'll want to speak to the director for a job, he's normally located in his office, but might be in his workshop to take a break." Sarah said pointing a thumb towards a hallway just behind her.

"Thanks,". Aras begins to walk down the hallway towards the office. She reaches the door and slowly peels it open. "Hello?"

Aras would find the mostly wood furnished office to be empty. A man in his early twenties rolls into the opposite doorway which lead to a lab area, which man came from a shutter entranced room off to the side in the lab. He had snow white hair and crimson eyes, a scar ran down his right eye with the eye unharmed, and a double helix tattoo curved around his left eye.

"Hello, can I help you?" Jack asked as he sat there in the wheeled office chair.

"H-he" She takes a deep breath before continuing. "Hello, I'd like to ask about getting a job in the medical department." She looks at the man, a glint lingering in her eye.

"Did Sarah our temporary greeter tell you who to talk with? Also sorry if she didn't give the warmest welcome." The man says straightening his smudged tank top and grey cargo pants.

"Yes, she said I should talk to the director." Aras replies. "Or do I have the wrong room? I can leave if I do.".

"Right, well their is a chair in front of the desk, and the Director will see you in a moment." The man answered before wheeling back to the shutter doored workshop he had come from.

"Oh-Okay" Aras mutturs. She walks over to the chair and takes a seat. She takes a moment to look around at the decorations of the room.

The office is decorated in wood panel walls and floors, as well as a slightly ornate desk. Several glass pane vid screens are mounted to the wall behind and above it. A liquor cabinet sits in one back corner and a coat rack in the other. A cluster of actual photos are tacked a little lower on the same wall as the screens. This odd given modern technology.

On the wall are a few tacked photos. They show smiling faces of science teams from each department, as well as a few of groups of troops. One seems older than the rest and depicts a group of soldiers in Nepleslian combat armor, a slightly familiar face present amongst all the photos. A framed picture sits on the desk and is turned towards the opposite side of the desk.

Aras attempts to peek over the desk to catch a glimpse of the picture, her curiosity taking over.

In the photo was of a family. An Elysian woman with shoulder long brunette hair and cerulean wings who is obviously pregnant stand next to...the man she had just talked to. Around them are four children, a young ten year old boy with some sort of collar, a wolf anthro woman, and two siblings with butterfly wings and antennas. It is apparent that they are not the biological children of the couple, but they all seem happy. As Aras is looking at the photo the door gives a pneumatic swish as it opens and the man before walks in and takes the chair behind the desk. He has changed into a pair of jeans, grey muscle shirt, and a leather jacket he is still slipping on.

"Sorry for the wait. Interviews are best done in cleaner clothes. I am Jack Pine, Director and founder of Section 6. I'm always looking for new people looking to make this world a better home and help the people through their work. Would you mind telling me a bit about yourself?" Jack says as he sits down.

Aras quickly sits up in her seat. "I just recently arived here looking for a job opportunity. I had started looking just after I received my licence and heard that Section Six was hiring so I came right away." Aras shifts nervously in her seat, she has obviously never done anything like this.

"What kind of license? I'm trying to get a sense of your skill set." He asked taking note of her nervousness, "It's ok interviews are not always easy. I'm just trying to learn more about you as a person and figure out how best we can use such skills in our work here."

"I'm most adept in thoracic surgery, but it also covers typical medical procedures for most basic injuries like broken bones and puncture wounds." she replies. "Most of my training whent into treating major injuries involving damaged lungs and hearts along with internal bleeding. People of my degree usually go into urgant care due to these parts of the body requiring immediate medical attention.".

"Alright, very good skill set, now any personal history you would like to share? It's not obligatory, but I am always curious about new personnel." Jack asked making an actual note with his neural implant.

"Well, I'm missing an arm and an eye." she chuckles while gesturing to her prosthetics. "I got into the medical feild because of my osteogenisis as a kid. I've got a brother off running a buisness. He's half the reason I even decided to become a doctor." Aras chuckles again. "I think that's about it though."

"So you seek to help others to prevent similar problems as those you have faced which is very noble. They say a person's past shapes their future. Have you ever thought about newer prosthetics? The medical department you are applying for designs custom ones." Jack said with a genuine grin, "Also the department head you would be working with is a full conversion cyborg. A man I have gladly earned the honor of calling friend. His name is Beaumont."

"Oh, that's interesting. I had no idea that the district made prosthetics." Aras glances at her arm. "I think I'd keep my own. I've grown a little attched to this one.". She quickley faces back towards Jack, "I had no idea about the head though.". "A full cyborg, now that would be someone to meet." She mutters to herself.

Jack grinned as his irises began to glow red, "Yes well, we have made many advances. I am implanted with a G1-NI, or Geist neural implant. It doesn't even require actual optical augments. These eyes are my real organic eyes, but with a few enhancements given by the Geist through nanoes." He said tapping next to his eyes.

"Well thats quite something." She smiles "And using nanoes to enhance organic capibilities, you guys really know what you're doing. Are those kinds of procedures open to the public, or only for higherups in the company?".

"Well we are developing treatments and new procedures from it, but the Geist itself is a very powerful tech, and one that needs to be handled by trained personnel. It's an advanced interfacing device, which allows the user to control technology with but their will, and even allows for the possession of certain vehicles. So as you can see where it is clear that such tech must be distributed carefully. The procedure must be done to a pre-ST body as well. One person outside the USO has been given this device, and suffice it to say. They dealt with complications." Jack explained running a hand through his hair as he leaned into his chair, his expression of embarrassment and nervousness.

"Well I can see why that should be handed out sparingly. Who knows what could happen if something like that fell into the wrong hands." She says. "That could end up causing a lot of ruckus."

Jack looked relieved, "Thank you for understanding. Now are there any questions you would like to ask before I hand you the paperwork?"

"No, I think I've asked my questions." She smiles and waits silently.

"Alright welcome aboard. Please fill this form out to show you understand safety procedures and to receive your property deed, DR1 motorcycle, Revenant Power Armor, an optional USO-P1 .45 pistol, and your first 5,000 DA paycheck which is biweekly out of every month. Then I can introduce you to Beaumont and our other staff." Jack spoke as he picked up one of the scattered data pads on the desk.

Aras grabs the data pad handed to her. She begins to fill it out in her seat, quickley filling in the spaces. She finishes it after a few minutes. "Here you go." she hands back the finished form.

"Alright, your employment is finalized and your first paycheck transferred, the bike is being prepped in the garage and the keys to your new house is in the storage compartment. You'll need to be fitted for your armor, but that can wait till later. How about we go see Beaumont?" Jack went on cheerfully as he prepared to get up.

"That sounds great!" Aras says while hopping out of her seat. She eagerly awaited her extange with Beaumont and the beginning of her new world.
