Notes:
I am making a new race of stout space travelers. This is step one. Step two involves a faction page, CCG, and culture article. Then step three is a military article.

Art has been commissioned. Please review the text so we (Revolver and I) can make any requested changes.

Looks good, at a first glance. How effective are the plates at stopping things other than small melee weapons like knives?
 
Added: "A fully mature specimen's scales form an armor-like protection strong enough to prevent sharp impacts and resiliant enough to absorb intense heat exposure."

Is a DR required?
 
I think it'd be important to give a range of possible ratings. Since these are living beings and not tank-bred supersoldiers like ID-SOL or Neko, precision isn't necessary.

Variance of PDR 1-3 depending on physical fitness, age and diet would be about ideal, I think. It's useful, but not game-breaking.
 
Is there any particular physiological difference between their eyes and other species? Given that they spend a lot of time in the relative darkness of the underground.

Nehothaki eyes are commonly dominated by blackness, though, as their retinal aperture is capable of extreme expansion to accommodate the dim underground dwellings they call home.

So there is this issue. Still disagree, and kind of like "Nehothaki," but Rev and I talked for a bit and came up with an alternative.

"Kudhacari"

Is that acceptable? Is it catchy enough?
 
I don't really see or 'hear' the similarities between Nehothaki and Nekovalkyrja. Having done so several times already, and still trying, I have to say this is kind of a baseless, or pronunciations are being mixed up. Besides, it'd be kind of nice to have another 'N' race around here.

But, if the 'N' is a no-go then Kudhacari could work. Just include a blurb or something with a pronunciation so kind of claim is avoided.
 
Yeah, maybe I've got my nose too stuck in linguistics to notice, but Nehothaki and Nekovalkyrja differ in the vast majority of sounds, stressed vowels and cadence — that I don't see it as well, but if it's enough of a hurdle to throw us into submission hell, I'd rather just change it and move on.

Hello, setting reviewers! I made some minor updates to the Nehothaki Kudhacari's species page. They are mostly cosmetic changes inspired by the ordering of the sweet Rixxikor page, plus the flag I made for them a bit ago and @Ametheliana's cute art for @Legix. More is definitely coming in the future, but I was wondering if I could slap the update over because it looks a lot better.
