Nodal Integrated Weapon System
Created by the Star Army Research Administration, the Nodal Integrated Weapon System is an advanced android life form based on femto-scale Hemosynthesis. Using a combination of mechanical and organic interior components, and based partially on the NH-27 series of androids, the NIWS possesses amazing capabilities and is extremely effective in combat. The NIWS maintains a humanoid form based around it's larger internal components. Its external appearance can be varied and added to with synthetic additional components. Common examples of optional parts include cannons, rifles, pistols, sabers, armor, and helmets.
Drawing effectively unlimited power from the aether, the NIWS contains a small computer system that oversees its functions. This computer can act as the android's mind; alternatively, the android can optionally be managed by a Nekovalkyrja-type mind if desired. The NIWS is an Anti-Mishhuvurthyar weapons system, and can detect Mishhuvurthyar life-forms from long distances away, including detecting stealth Mishhuvurthyar and Mishhuvurthyar ships and pods. The NIWS also carries phase weaponry specifically designed to target Mishhuvurthyar DNA.
Unlike the NH-27 series of military androids, the NIWS is designed purely as a weapon. While it maintains the pleasing appearance all NH series weapons are endowed with, the NIWS cannot experience pain or pleasure and is limited in its emotion. It cannot reproduce and has no internal genitalia. It is not designed for day-to-day life; each comes with a stasis pod for storage when combat is not imminent. Designed to be its own complete weapons system, the NIWS does not carry weapons and is incapable of piloting the Mindy M2 power armor (it lacks a SLICS interface).
