OOC [OOC] SRSS Yggdrasill Plot Discussion

I've decided to continue the plot in the Other Factions forum as a non-plot ship, and all former players are allowed to continue in it. However, with this change, come a major change.

The players must be self-driven. Look for things to do if I don't automatically have them. Civilian RP is different from military RP in that it's more free-form. If you need constantly told what to do, then get into a military RP. The people in my plot should be at least somewhat self-driven.

I will no longer nag people into posting, nor wait on people. If you don't keep up, you'll be left behind.

Attribute of the living malfunction

The Nepleslian government attempts to branch out expansion efforts by field testing modified Synthetic Intelligence. Their attempts lead them to the delima that information involving salvage and exploration efforts would be faster to “copy” from an existing source. Upon receiving information that a search and salvage vessel known for past search and rescue exploits had touched down on Koukotsu II for vacation.

A representative was dispatched to make a deal with the crew. Offering riches and notoriety to those willing to have “artificial” versions of themselves created for a new fleet of search and rescue vessels. However all is generally not as it seems where a government is involving non commissioned crews to test new advances. Paranoia comes close to halting the crews involvement, but the offer of helping the masses is a tantalizing treat to the idealistic.

The crew then embarks on a journey that turns from awkward interactions with themselves, to deadly game of hide and seek as the Si's decide they no longer require their predecessors. Can the few remaining crew members of the SRSS Yggdrasill fend off the cunning Si's and prove that friendship and connected hearts always stand triumphant in the end? Or will the modified SI variants prove once and for all that “life” is obsolete?

Interesting plot idea? Or more insanity spat out by me ><?
