William was bored of laying in bed... He had been confined to the bed for 3 days now and he was getting antsy. However, moving wasn't quite possible. Thinking of that made him upset and he sank back into his pillows.

He listened to the soft beeping from the EKG and the slow dripping from the multiple IV's he was hooked up to. No one else was in the small space. He wasn't sure where everyone was, most likely off doing their duties. And he was stuck there...

Well, most of the crew was busy doing some job or another. Arbitrated Iemochi, the ship's resident mother-to-be, quietly poked her head around the corner of the medical room's door, her auburn hair swinging down somewhat lazily. She whispered to the Nepleslian, "William! You alright there? Meissa told me to talk to you for... Some reason!"

William jumped slightly at the new voice. He turned to see Arbitrated, and tried his best to sit up. "Hello. I'm okay I guess." He said, trying not to move his bandaged torso too much. The machines beeped at him as he moved around. "Those stupid things wont shut up..." He muttered.

Stepping quietly into the room, the little birb hummed a gentle chuckle. "Yeah, they're kind of annoying like that. But it helps a lot when something actually goes wrong!" Her melodic voice changed back to normal from its hissing whisper, though the ex-Shan kept herself quite quiet even still. "It's good that you're, well... Okay, though. It's certainly better than being dead..."

He seemed to relax at the sound of her voice. He didn't know why though... "Yes. I was told I was very close to death." he said, shaking slightly as that thought registered. "Come sit. I haven't had very many visitors. It's boring in here." He said, scooting over in his bed, though it took some effort to drag his legs over to the other side.

Arbs frowned as the young man struggled moving his legs, but did not refuse his offer - certainly not after the trouble he just went through. "Yeah... It's good that we finally had a medic willing to head out into the field, mhm!" She smiled as her rump settled into the advanced cousining of the medical bed. "I don't think we've actually talked too much, to be honest - really, all I know about you is your name and that you're a samurai in training..." The little angel smiled a little bit.

He nodded. "Yes, that's true." He looked thoughtful for a moment, then smiled. "Well, the only time I remember talking to you was when I first arrived aboard, and Princess Aiko had me give the bridge crew tea." He said chuckling softly. "That is about the extent of it."

"Yeah, yeah..." She chuckled a little as well, her voice fading out to silence as she took a few gentle, deep breaths. "Really, come to think of it, I don't know much about a lot of the crew, heheh. So.... what's your favorite thing to do? When you're not doing on-duty stuff, I mean."

He looked thoughtful again. "I don't know a lot of the crew, either. I guess we have that in common." He said, smiling. "Normally I practice my martial arts in the dojo when I'm done with my duties. That and I like to work on my swords. I like to tinker with them." He added, looking up at her. "I also really like the observation deck. I like to meditate up there."

"Huh... Just, practice and meditation mostly? I dunno if I'd manage to keep up like that, myself. Of course, Ican't really do it anyways, not any more..." One hand drifted idly to her slightly swollen belly for a moment. Her thoughts drifted, back to just the other night when she was up in the observation room with Meissa, before anchoring themselves again into the present. "Well, to each their own, after all!" She giggled somewhat childishly.

He nodded. "It's not for everyone." He replied. He watched her move her hand to her swollen stomach. "I never got to congradulate you actually. Do you know what it is?" He asked looking back up at her, his blue eyes full of curiosity.

She chuckled again, her voice filling the nerly empty medbay warmly. "We've decided to keep their genders a secret for now, let ourselves be surprised when the time actually comes around." The woman's small lips parted again in a smile, relishing in the knowledge that she had two children, that her family would be healthy and beautiful... Well, she hoped so anyways. "Thank you, though, William!"

He eyes widened with recognition. "Wait you have twins?!" He asked. "That's amazing." He looked down at his hands. "I never actaully held a baby before. When you have them... can I hold them?" he asked softly, rubbing his thumbs together.

"Yeah, I'll let you hold them! Maybe not, er, right away though, of course. Maybe after a couple months, but we'll see, heheh..." She cleared her throat after a moment, speaking again, "Really, though, what you must have done to get yourself put in here like this, you must have done a good job at something, William!"

He shook his head. "Not really. I think I mostly got lucky." He replied. "I was adopted by Rei. I never knew my real family... She took me in and brought me to school. Then when her assignement changed we met Princess Aiko. Honestly I belive it has been straight luck that I got brought here." He added softly. "I think that the Kaiyo is my family." He smiled.

Smiling back, the redhead responded, "That's really nice... And I agree, even though we're all different species and sometimes we yell at each other, I don't know anywhere I would rather be than here. That's actually why I'm trying to know everyone a bit better!"

He giggled. "My mom is a neko, and I am a Nepleslian. We are two different ends of the spectrum." He replied. "I try to think how everybody fits into my odd little family." He said thinking. "Rei's my mom, Eden and Saki are like aunts. Messia, Yoshida, and the others are like my brothers and sisters." He looked up at her and smiled. "I think you would be like my sister too!"

"Hmmm, I guess I would be!" Arbles stuck her little tongue out playfully. "I've actully been thinking about learning to cook, come to think of it. Meissa keeps joking about how conservative I am. I guess she's kinda like the big sister to all of us? The one who always teases us all, but when it comes to it she'll always be there to protect us?"

He nodded and playfully stuck his tongue back out at her. "I think so. I guess I am the Kaiyo's little brother. Always getting in trouble." He said, rubbing the back of his head with the arm that didn't have IV's running to it. "At least I fit my role."

She chuckled, "Getting in trouble can be a lot of help, though. We gotta have people around to help keep things interesting, after all!" Smiling again, Arbles's soft hand gently graced Will's for a moment warmly, but not in an affection like in a romantic relationship-even that much would be obvious to Matsuvo, and William was probably better at picking up signals like that than the snow-haired minkan was.

He held her hand warmly, like a little brother would with his older sister. "Thank you Arbles." He said, cocking his head to one side. Then he smiled mischeivously. "Wanna help me break out for a little bit? I only need the IV bags." He said looking up at her pleadingly. "Just need the wheelchair over there." He said. "I want to go up to the observation deck."

She chuckled, "Hope you don't need me to carry you!" Standing up again, the little albatross swished through the room, retrieving the chair and rolling to next to Will's bed, setting the simple locks on its wheels so it wouldn't roll around while he put his weight on it.

"Can you grab the IV bags?" He asked as he unplugged the monitors carefully. He turned each one off so they didn't start squaking and ruined his escape attempt. He then carefully crawled over and onto the chair, swinging his legs with the momentum. He put each foot on a footrest and placed a blanket over his legs. "Hang them on that pole behind me." he said motioning to the stand attached to the chair.

The smol one chuckled a little, gently lifting the various bags of liquid medicine off of their original hooks, replacing them one at a time onto the mobile variant for the boy's wheelchair. She chuckled at how he looked, his hair a bit messy as if he had just woken up or something. "Let's take it easy still, of course. We did the hard part, after all!" She giggled again, feeling kind of like she was one of the youngest children in this big crazy family just like William was.

William looked a tad defeated. "But I've been locked up in here for three whole days!" He exclaimed, then sighed. "Okay..." He then grabbed the wheels of his chair and tried to push, but he had trouble. His IV lines kept getting in the way. "Um... can you push me please? I don't want the IV's to get pulled out."

"Alright, alright. Yeah, it's probably better to not have that happen!" The little one joked a little as she gently ruffled Will's hair, relishing in the fact that for once she was taller than someone.... Kinda. Ish.

He brought a hand up to fix his hair. "Hey!" He said playfully. "Stop that. My hair's messed up as it is."

Arbs chuckled as she pushed forward, trundling ahead with the wheelchair slowly. "Alright alright, fine!" By muscle memory, the little one brought the couple right to the zero-gravity passageway, pausing after a moment. "Uhhhh.... Probably a bad idea, what with all the IVs and such. Whoops!" The adventurous 'siblings' turned around, instead heading to the cargo lift - they had quite the distance to climb, after all!

He looked up and down the passage way and nodded. "Yeah... I don't think that's a good idea." He said looking up at her. "But when I am better we are so playing in there. I never did that before," he said with a glint of mischieve in his eyes.

As she walked, William rested his head against her arm. "Thank you, for hanging out with me." He said softly.

"Hey, it's what we do as a family." The little one smiled again, though Will couldn't see behind him. "Let's get you all the way up, eh? Though I think this might be a bit loud, heheh." Briefly letting go of the man's chair, Arbles's hands danced across the panel for the cargo lift delicately, and soon the whole platform was rising up slowly with a groan.

He cringed as he heard the the groaning of the elevator. "Engineering should grease this thing..." He replied from his spot.

Arbs chuckled, "I think they do. It's just that they're really busy with all kinds of other things, heheh!" She turned William around as they reached the top of the lift, carting him out before speaking again, "Hmmmm.... Just a little bit more, really!" And as if her words were magical, the yung'uns had found themselves in the spacious observation deck, the brilliant starscape around them twinking.

Arbles would see William's eyes light up as he saw the stars softly drfiting by the starship. "No matter how many times I sit here, it never ceases to amaze me." he said looking back down to Arbs. "Thank you so much, Sis."

Laughing quietly, warmly, Arbs ruffled William's hair again, but morein a gentle way, straightening some of the knots gently and slowly. "You're welcome, brother." Okay, it did feel a bit weird to say that but... Well, it happens when you're raised as an only child, or something. Who knows.

He smiled and laughed as she fixed his hair. "You know. I used to be really sad that I was an orphan... Like no one wanted me. But ever since I met you all, I actually glad I was. Because I wouldn't have my big family otherwise." He looked up at Arbles, grinning from ear to ear. "Or my my new big sister."

"I'm pretty sure I'm only bigger because you're sitting down right now," the little elysian joked. Her laugh was light, joyous and relaxing. Taking some deep breaths to calm herself but a little, Arbles sighed gently, "We're just a big, happy family..."

William nodded. He let the silence drag out for several long seconds, just enjoying Arbles company. He then looked back over and asked. "What else do you think we could do? Oh! Can we go watch a movie?" He asked. "My room is only two levels down."

She chuckled, "I think that the lounge might be fine. If we haven't been chased down already I think it'll be alright to go to some of the busier sections of the ship." The smol one took a deep, relaxed breath, thinking about all the times she'd watched movies with Mochi in private-and how a few of those nights ended up. She chuckled again as she took hold of his wheelchair's handlebars. "Ready to go when you are!"

"Ready!" He said, before looking back. "Whatever we do, don't let Rei or Princess Aiko spot me. They might actually kill me for being out of bed. Sacre too, for that matter," he said, shivering slightly. "They can really be scary when they wanna be."

"Heheh, very true. I'm sure we'll be alright, though. After all, we're just two little kids fooling around, right?" Her head tilted and winked slyly, childishly again. Within moments, the two were already trundling back through the Fuji towards the crew lounge.

He grinned back at her. "Right." He replied, as she pushed him back down the hallway and down to the crew lounge. "I'm sorry you have to push me," he said as they rolled into the lounge. "I'd do it myself if my arms weren't all... ya know..." He said holding them up showing all the IV lines to his left arm. "If I did you'd find me spinning in circles."

"It's fine, it's fine... Besides, I need the excersize anyways," Arbs joked pleasantly. "What kind of movie, by the way?"

He looked back behind him as she pushed him into the room. "How about one of the old samurai movies. The ones where their mouths don't match the words!" He said laughing.

She chuckled, "Alright then! Lemme see if I can figure out how to find one on here... Boss, would you please dim the lights and prepare the projectors? Thank you!"

"Look for Stranger in a strange land." He said as the lights dimmed. "It's about a Nepleslian in old Yamatia!" He said. "It's one of my favorites." He added.

"Alright then," the smol one chuckled as she plopped herself down in a chair next to her new brother. "Boss, would you please..." At the request, the volumetric projectors lit up, the lights dimmed a bit further, and the video began to play.

William smile broadened as the movie began to play. He settled into his chair and made sure he was locked into place so he wouldn't start rolling away. The moive showed a Nepleslian man dropped into the middle of Yamatai, and him trying to make sense of it all. Getting wrapped up in sword fights and being chased through the city among other things. If Arbles looked over at him, she'd see that he was completely enthralled by the movie.

Well, it's certainly quite up his alley, the redheaded mother thought, He just can't get enough of it! She smiled happily, inwardly chuckling at how excited and yet enthralled Will was with this movie. Sword fights weren't really her cup of tea, but they weren't too bad either.

As William watched, he slowly grew more and more tired. All the moving about and explortation had drained him. He tried to keep watching, but soon found himself leaning on his big sister's shoulder. His eyes got heavy and soon Arbles would hear her little brother snoring softly.

It took a little bit for her to noticed the young samurai sleeping on her shoulder. Arbs chuckled a little, being very careful not to wake her sleeping brother up as she slid off of the chair, straightening William up in his wheelchair after a few moments, and trundling back to the medical bay with the samurai sleeping happily, probably dreaming about badass sword fights and honorable combat. Parking him by his bed, Arbs re-locked the wheelchair's wheels and silently requested for the MEGAMI to call in one of the medics so he could be re-situated on his bed; rather than wait around, she opted to leave William to his slumber, yawning as she exited the room.

MedBay:

William was asleep in the wheelchair after Arbles, his new big sister, had brought him back from their little escapade to the observation deck and to go watch a movie, and left him next to his bed.

William awoke to find Sacre standing above him. He had never realized how tall she was. She was freakishly tall, thin which made her look taller, and he was seated which didn't help things either. She was also angryily tapping her fingers together. "You enjoy your little escapade idiot?" she asked, sounding pissed.

As Willism came to, he looked up at Sacre and gulped audibly. "S...Sacre, I can explain." He stammered, looking genuinely fearful for his life.

"You don't need to explain, I know exactly what happened. You decided 'hey, I've been told to stay in bed so I don't die, but you know what I'm going to take my life into my own hands and traisy all over the ship like I don't have a care in the world.'" Sacre explained to him.

"I'm sorry Sacre, I was bored." He said looking down at the floor, I... I'm Sorry." He repeated.

Sacre picked him up gently using her arms and wrapping her tail around him for stability. A tail that was designed to crush the life out of prey. "Bordeom is not an execuse to defy your doctor's orders like that. If you're bored, then we have some recordings and some games in a closet." She said severely.

As William was lifted by Sacre, he wrapped his arm around her neck to stabalize himself as she moved him. When her tail wrapped around him he felt like he was being wrapped in a warm blanket. He nodded softly and couldn't bring his eyes to meet her's. "I'm sorry Sacre." He repeated again, looking genuinely upset for making her worried.

Once Sacre put him back into the bed and unwrapped him she looked down at him and the angry mask slipped from her face for a moment. "Apology accepted, but you're still not geting dessert with dinner tonight." She said, turning away to leave the partitioned off area.

William was about to protest, but he nodded. "Sacre?"

She turned at the door, "Yes?"

"Would you like to play one of those games?" He asked.

Sacre very nearly smiled, "Yes, I would."
