Something for the Star Army medics

Well, funny that this thread should come up. You see, last night I was given the chance to use this liquid bandage stuff. For starters, there was a party...and in a round about way of saying it...I got hit in the face with a didgeridoo.

Exhibit A "The wound"

So, the guy who hit me by accident went and got this "New Skin" stuff and I have to say that it really works. It's kinda like putting glue on the wound.

Exhibit B "The Bandage"

The Label reads
"New Skin
Liquid Bandage
---
First Aid
Antiseptic
Liquid Bandage
Antiseptic for Small Cuts & Wounds"

I kind of doubt it.

Maybe not the "exact" same stuff, but my liquid bandage sealed the cut in about a minute flat. As of then, it hasn't bled once. So...maybe not the same, but very similar.

Back in the late 1980s, my mother had heart surgery; and they used an organic glue based on human blood plasma, which was a trial back then, to seal her up. It worked quite well.

The idea of an adhesive compound instead of bandages is not amazingly new, at LEAST two decades old, but it is a steadily advancing technology.

My first ER visit for a wound, they patched me up with glue! It was purple and pretty smelly stuff, but it did the job!

Since then, I've used this New Skin @Omega724 is talking about with incredible results! I had a cut that wouldn't close and was basically exposed muscle and New Skin closed it up within the day!

I think something similar is definitely something the SAoY could use!
