Xyainbor is a strategic asset for Yamatai, as well as the NMX. With the NMX beat back from Yamatai's immediate space, I think there's a chance here for Yamatai to go on the offensive while showing off some of their new technology in a way that is quintessential Yamatai.
Instead of a full-fledged plot, this is something fun — a one-off without set characters, save an officer of mine. The technology to be shown:
The Heitan-class carrier.
The Urufu-class light cruiser.
The Chiaki-class escort destroyer.
The Nodachi-class Assault starfighter.
Though it isn't new to use, the Kawarime-class space superiority starfighter also will get love.
The forces:
Yamatai has trained for a specific time-attack on Xyainbor's NMX forces, which consist of 12 Megamishhu, 24 Hands of Fear, 60 Shredder gunships, four NMX cruisers, a Gigamishhu carrier, and waves of battlepods.
Yamatai's coming in with just one Heitan, one Urufu, 12 Chiakis, a wing of 72 Nodachis and four squadrons of Kawarimes.
How it works:
With the initial post made, I'm happy to have other players step in and take on a Nodachi pilot here or a Chiaki captain there. If no one's interested, I can do it myself (clearly) but I'm glad to let others study the pages for these vessels and seriously, seriously put them through a wringer.
Let's be clear: This is going to be a rout for Yamatai. The NMX aren't going to put up token defense, but this is not going to be their finest hour. Yamatai is going to be machine-precise here, as intensely disciplined and motivated as they can be. This is the site where billions of their Neko sisters died — blood will be extracted here.
