Yes, there's defenitely advertising. I could swear I saw some over the old boards being mentioned.
As for power armors, I think the Lamia-1c was 30 000 KS, the Lamia-2b was 10 000 KS and the Mindy-1d was 50 000 KS. Those are old prices though: the newer models are probably a bit more expensive.
1 KS is roughly equal to the US Dollar.

Do you happen to know anything about production costs?
ie, because the technology is so efficient, are they dramatically lower or higher than they are here?
The dollar was a bad reference since I'm in the UK but since I do so much online buying, I think it makes sense.

I've only heard about the KS so far.
I do know that the Ketsurui Zaibatsu seems to be a lot better at mass producing products and being cost effective in doing it than making individual pieces. KZ doesn't do custom jobs very well, or at least not as efficiently as some private contractor would (though the Ketsurui Zaibatsu will still give superior products... just at an extremely inflated price).

Depends on the material and the project. Mindy armors probably cost an incredible amount of KS because they involve Zesuaium, which is expensive to produce and repair.
There might be local currencies on some more backwater or semi-independent planets like Lorath or the one the Phods inhabit, but KS is the "universal currency" that every deals in. Kind of like how USD is now and how the British pound used to be.
Here is a question then. Could you buy a Mindy? This is a relevant question to my interests...
No, Mindy armors are not for sale to the public. They are intended for Star Army of Yamatai use only.
