Kiyoko waited for Natsumi on the tarmac of the Spaceport. Her Type 30 Space Yacht 'TangeOne' waited several feet away. Several Blackcoats, the Tange special security force wandered around the ship, constantly inspecting it and the personnel . Her green hair held up in a bun by two decorative chopsticks with butterflies engraved into them, her appearance was as always neat and orderly. She wore her UOCPF Uniform, the Grand Peacekeeper Rank insignia displayed. She had already checked most of her luggage, not that she had brought much. The Akuro III was her home, which is why she demanded to stay aboard during its scheduled maintenance . While she waited, she looked over at TangeOne, there was irony to be had seeing the UOC and Tange logos painted on the Yamataian-made ship.
Natsumi walked through the spaceport full suited in her new UOCPF uniform. It fit snugly to her skin and moved with her. Being used to more comfortable clothing such as skirts and high cut tops, it was something that she'd have to live with but she wore it proudly. Carrying her dufflebag with her, it rustled against her uniform softly. Her medium length blue hair blew behind her with her brisk pace as her deep green eyes moved over the people bustling to and from wherever they were coming from or going. She stopped a moment to take a good last look at her surroundings then began walking again, a feeling of intense excitement surged through her as she headed to meet Kiyoko and start her new life as a crew member of the Akuro III.
Kiyoko shook her head watching her dear friend approach. A giggle left her lips, wondering how strange it looked for the Grand Peacekeeper to be ridding around with a recruit. "Took your sweet time I see, more shopping I take it?" She giggled, taking Natsumi's bag and chucking it at one of the Blackcoats. "Lets go sunshine, time to see the most amazing ship ever constructed." Kiyoko was excited to say the least. She walked up the ramp and into the ship.
As Natsumi watched the Blackcoat walk away with her bag, a wide smile spread across her face. She waited a moment before stepping onto the ramp, looking around to take everything in one last time before heading off to see the ship that was going to give her a new life. In silent excitement, she said goodbye to everything around her and proceeded up the ramp and onto Kiyoko's ship.
Kiyoko lead Natsumi through the ship, and they arrived on the bridge. Several Blackcoats worked at various stations. Kiyoko slipped into the padded command chair. "TangeOne....Open communications with Tokyo Tower....File flight plan accordingly." She motioned to the Operations Station to her forward left, "Might as well get some practice in..."
Natsumi's eyes widened at Kiyoko's suggestion and she began to protest, "But... Kiyoko, I don't even....." but stopped as she realized that it was time to let fear and nervousness go. With a nod, Natsumi walked past Kiyoko's left and stood behind the Operations Station, looking it over carefully. Seeing that everything was fine, she glanced back to Kiyoko saying, "All systems optimal"
"Helm, lets get this baby in orbit..." she transmits the course she plotted to the pilot. Her eyes met those of the young male at the helm's for a second. TangeOne engaged its gravimetric drives and lifted off the tarmac and ascended towards orbit. "MFY Ascendancy Dock in four minutes ma'am." the Blackcoat at the sensor station reported as the main volumetric screen showed a picture of Jiyuu . "Natsumi open communications with MFY, tell them that we are inbound for Akuro III..."
Shifting in her place a bit, Natsumi opened the communication channel to MFY stating, "This is Toyotomi Natsumi, currently on board the UCS TangeOne. We are now en-route to the Akuro III." She settled herself and smiled as the final words escaped her lips.
Sixteen Tenshi Armors took up formation around TangeOne, along with two black and red Tange Ayana-Class Escorts. "Escorts in position" the Blackcoat standing to the right of her chair reported. "Escorts? for a four minute ride?" Kiyoko shook her head, and stated. "Waste of bloody resources." She was going to continue, but was cut off by the Blackcoat next to her, "Approaching UCS Akuro III.." Kiyoko stood up from her chair, having the AI switch the volumetric screen to what was in front of them. The small Type 30 Yacht was like a spec in comparison as it began its approach. "Slow us right down...." Kiyoko said quietly. Despite the fact the Akuro III was her home, the massive Flagship had never ceased to amaze her.
As the image of the Akuro III met her eyes, Natsumi's jaw dropped slightly. Nothing had ever taken her breath away like this. She raised her right hand halfway up to meet her lips then dropped it. "Oh my.... Kiyoko... It's amazing," she muttered, as these were the only clear words that were forming in her mind at the time. Excitement rushed through her just thinking of setting foot on the Akuro III, let alone being a crew member of it. She took a deep breath to calm herself so as not to appear to over react.
"We have to take the port mount, they have the starboard mount ripped apart for repairs." The Blackcoat issued, informing Kiyoko. "I do not understand why you insist on staying on the ship before she is finished her repairs and refit." He said, looking to the Grand Peacekeeper. Kiyoko said to him in response. "Kyr...shut up." She gave a gentle nod in Natsumi's direction and settled back into her command chair. They flew across the massive truss system that was built around the Akuro III for its repairs. Several hull plates were removed either for access to systems beneath them or for replacement. Kiyoko said to Natsumi, "She is amazing, once you spend some time with her, you will never want to leave." Her voice trails off, almost a whisper as she says. "Even when they promote you."
Natsumi merely nodded at Kiyoko's words, the awe still over powering her. She glanced down at the Operations Station. Seeing that everything was still in perfect condition, she looked back up and calmed further as her green eyes studied what was before her.
TangeOne docked with the Akuro III. Kiyoko got up from her chair and walked over to Natsumi's station. She leaned over and put her lips to the girl's ear. "Lets go..."
