Since the night spent trying to stay up in the lounge aboard the Eucharis was glossed over, I thought it might be prudent to flesh it out here, even though it might be brief. It's worth specifying that this takes place the night before the current events on the dreamworld (as of 24 September).
Dreamworld - YSS Eucharis - Lounge
Sienna followed the small group into the lounge a few paces behind, saying nothing to break the silence as they walked ahead of her. She folded her arms and looked around at the glossy surfaces and how they contrasted with the carpeted ones, waiting her turn to get herself a cup of coffee.
A light conversation had started amongst those gathered, but she made no effort to join it. Rather, she filled a coffee mug and took a seat on one of the couches away from the group, her back to the wall, and placed the warm mug on the table in front of her. She crossed her legs and leaned back into the seat, blinking the encroaching sleepiness away. She hadn't noticed the droning thrum of the engines before, but now that the ship had landed and powered down, the eerie silence only added to her feeling of unease in this place.
What she'd overheard about this dreamworld was unsettling at best. It sounded completely ridiculous, a planetwide economy based entirely on dreams and mental copies of its visitors. But she didn't want to risk it either way. Even though she wasn't particularly interested in socializing, she rationalized that being in the company of others would make it easier to stay awake.
