Subject: Request for Charter

Empress, it is my hope that this communique' finds you in good health. I understand that your time is precious so I shall endeavor to be brief.

Your Highness on the behalf of the Tamahagane Corporation, I would like to formally request a charter to allow us to develop a corporate security force.

The organization would be known as the Tamahagane Corporation Security Force, or TCSF.

The TCSF will provide security for our facilities, our intellectual property, and our personnel. Their authority would be limited to matters dealing with our corporation. In cases of criminal activity, they will of course contact and coordinate with the Yamatai National Police, and in matters of customs the Yamatai Security Agency.

As part of the TCSF we will be creating an Escort force that will consist of Ookami-Class Light Cruisers. These will be used to protect our assets when traveling from one star system to another.

With the current hostilities and the Star Army needing to devote their resources to the defense of the Empire and the destruction of the NMX scourge. We have no wish to tax their resources by asking for escorts.

We humbly await your decision, and as always live to serve the Empire.

Security forces are permitted but military forces are not. If your ships are used for defensive missions only they are allowable.

OOC: If the ships qualify as warships under the military buildup guidelines it is possible that they may subtract from the ships the Star Army can field. If this is the case, I need a number of how many ships you plan to field.

The ships in question will only be used for defense. Either defending our flotillas, or when we are deploying large valuable assets such as spaceports. If members of the clan want to fight wars, we join the Star Army of Yamatai like loyal citizens.

OOC: TC is only planning on a total of 9 of the G1-C1-2a ships.

Any other ships they use will be smaller patrol craft or freighters.
