Approved Character Aalto, Sulevi

Hey, what plot is this character intended for? Typically the Game Master of that plot will review the characters so they know if they're a good fit.

Oh snap! Yeah, I can take you. Are you able to join us Tuesday nights at 8:30-10pm EST for JP Night? We do a lot of out writing together on those nights.

Thinking about him being a mecha pilot, it's important to note that the YSS Resurgence has no facilities for mecha storage or repair, nor a mecha department - it's a smallish gunship with a cast of player characters centered around an away team of mostly infantry people. It reminds me of how we had a fighter pilot character join the pilot and it was always a struggle because his preferred starfighter didn't fit in the ship and it was sometimes hard to figure out what to do with him so he mainly ended up flying the shuttles or putting on power armor and playing infantry with the rest of the squad. Are you really set on playing a mecha pilot?

You know, I've got my character Trowa on the Res. He hasn't been doing much and he got that Mech from last chance salvage that's has been stored on the Res sister ship. I could potentially bring him back as a mech pilot then we'd potentially have 2 mech pilots. It's a lot easier writing a story if you've got at least 2 people.

Up to you Wes, it's your plot.

I was assuming He'd be operating a "Keiko" Thought Armor, and certainly not the "Ryoko". Since the Keiko is not that much larger than a human, would there be a spot on the ship to store it? Maybe a somewhat open spot in the cargo bay if he needs to do maintenance or repairs? Or is there really no space for it? I understand realistically, space is very much at a premium onboard a ship.

The Thought Armors, despite being mini mechs that are “piloted” rather than worn like the Mindy or Daisy power armors, are still technically power armors. Therefore, the occupation that operates a Keiko would be Star Army Infantry. You’d still get the mecha experience you want for your guy (as long as Wes is okay with Keiko armors) but he would not be called a “mecha pilot.” Just some background info.

No, I think we can make it work. Character approved.
