A while back, when I first created the Abwehran race, Wes talked to me about how the race seemed to live for to long. Well, he was right, but not because of creative thinking. What happened was a math problem.
I had attempted to figure out how old an Abwehran would be in Earth Years back then and was rounding all over the place. It was a mistake that needed to be corrected, since I figured out my problem when trying to convert a single Abwehran year to Earth years. After about two hours of math conversions and experimentation, I've figured that a single Abwehran year is approximately 3.551 Earth years.
This means I'm either going to have to re-create my little equation for figuring out an Abwehran characters age or going to have to change the maximum lifespan I've listed for the average Abwehran.
Fixing the equation means that you multiply the Abwehran Year by 3.551 to get the character in Earth Years. ((ie: 18 AY * 3.551 ~ 63 EY)). With the Abwehran's current maximum lifespan listed as 300 AY, that means an Abwehran can life for 1065 Earth Years. Though still having extremely long lives, it's less than the 1200 Earth Years I originally had.
Or, I can decrease it to a smaller number of Abwehran Years and thust making the Abwehrans closer to the rest of the species in SARP. Therefore, I've created a poll to ask for your help. Mostly because I'm sure everyone has forgotten the Abwehrans since I've been away.
