Approved Character [Aegis] Harm Royse

@Legix
In YE 30, the formation of the United Outer Colonies proposed a potentially new life for Harm. He had grown old, his body mostly machine even without his replacements. Offering his experienced group, he enlisted and helped the fledgling nation's various people as colonial guards. He never officially joined the peacekeepers, nor swore perfect allegiance. Instead, he opted to watch and see the birth of the new nation from afar.

To be more specific he hired himself out as a Mercenary guard or he joined a local militia? If he was just a hired gun, he would have been more effectively a hired law man than a guard per se. I could see this happening in Siren System or one of the farther reaches of UOC space.

Safe to say, the surrender and encroachment of certain tentacle-aliens led Harm to make a bold decision. While the UOC had surrendered, he fought a proxy war in retreat, using guerrilla tactics to escape the destruction of the stronger aliens. By the time he had been cornered, Harm and his group had fought their way across the stars and ended up back in familiar space of Nepleslia.

So the Surrender never actually happened. Ayana disappeared before the Surrender was supposed to be issued. The Black out caused a lot of chaos. The Tange Black Coats on Jiyuu started fighting the regular Peacekeepers for control of the government until the Lorath came in with bombardments and stabilized Jiyuu.

The SMX jacked up Jiyuu after that, some nasty radiation happened and Hanako rescued the other survivors of that fall out.

So depending on what settlement he was at- he could've very well fought SMX until he could escape. The main issue is that the surrender didn't actually happen. A lot of the confusion here this is part of the reason why my ongoing history project is to bring all of the facts together so it's easier to reference for new characters that were there when things went south.

I'll edit the surrender stuff out from my phone if I do any tonight.

He would be a mercenary guard-esque. I had thought that was more clear, but I can clarify if need be.

Rest look good to you?

It was calling the mercenary bit a colonial guard. That sounds far more official than a hired gun or mercenary. I always imagined the UOC setting beyond Jiyuu as the Wild West but I ended up with Space Somalia.

I find it plausible that despite the fact that Nepleslia and UOC were not cold to one another that the young IPG would be running around being IPG. Jumping into an Aria body also isn't implausible. It was readily available for purchase.
