I found a good random map generator if you want to use that for your planet.

Personally I would like to see a system page and a planet page. That way we get the full picture. And you can keep the system specifics on one page, and the planet details on another. As a start for a planet page though overall this is fairly good.

And if you like I can assist with generating a planetary image like the ones you fill find on Daichi, AX-01, SX-05, SX-02
 
Well on first post I have put up the link to the system, though as with all my work it's interconnected for ease.
 
Besides artwork (which Nashoba is happily willing to provide) these submissions need a bit more detail. One-liners don't do it any justice -- especially in Hymenoptera's case.

Also, I'm not sure but I believe Hymenoptera is the "City of the Dead" from The Mummy movie anthology. Unless it's a real city, (Again, not sure) would you mind changing it to something else?

Also, what noble beasts? In the Formica article, it talks about them. If you're willing to slip us that much information would you mind providing more? If not, I'm fine with what it is. I'd also be fine if you scaled it back to just "very large predators."

In general, I'd like some more information. You should really look at Daichi as an example. You won't need quite that many pictures, but half that much text will provide enough information for the submission.

hmm... well I am a little bored so maybe this might help with stats

For example I calculated the following values for just the homeworld in the middle of the system:

Note I:
  • I assumed this was a Jurassic world so I tried to fit it so all the planets had habitable effective temperatures. Note for comparison the effective temperature is of a Jurassic Earth was actually -15 degrees C.
  • I wasn't sure the color so I color coated all the stars.
  • I also listed the albedo values I used in case anyone wants to check my math.

Here are some question that I think every person who makes solar system needs to ask themselves.
General Questions:
  • What is the order of my planets? Remember if you put a plant before your habitable homeworld planet then its going to be hot like a mercury, Venus, or Hot Neptune
  • What is the color I want my sun? The colors in order of highest temperature are light blue (A), white (F), yellow (G), orange (K), and red (M).
The excel file I sent you above you should make it easier to answer these to questions. Also in the file the mass in Jupiter Mass's. If you want I can convert it to Earth Masses or kg

Gas Giant Questions:
  • Is my gas gain a Chthonian, a Ice gas Giant, a traditional gas giant, or a Hot Jupiter?
  • Does my gas giant have bands and storms or is it completely opaque and placid?
  • What are the primary colors of my gas giant?
  • Does my Gas giant have prominent Saturn rings or tiny Jupiter rings? Note the number of rings equal to or less than the number
  • Does my solar system have a asteriod belt? If so it should be placed typically before or after a Gas Giant.

Inhabitable planets Questions:
  • Is my planet a Super Earth the size of earth, or smaller?
    Is my inhabitable planet a ice world, rock-ice world, cratered rock world, volcanic world, a geyser world, desert world?
  • Continuing from the last question does my planet have of a specific rock exoplanet type? Is it a liquid ocean world, silicate rock world, iron rock world, a carbon rock world, or a coreless cold rock world? Note not all rock worlds have to fit in these categories, as just describe specific common cases. Also liquid world don't always have to be water as some are methane.
  • Does my planet have an nonlethally poor or lethal atmosphere? Some types of planets like volcanic worlds require one while others like cratered rock world don't.

Moon Questions:
  • How many large moons do I want orbiting around my planets? How many small asteroid sized moons do I want?
  • What kinds of moons do I want for my planets? In your article you do talk about each of your planets have 5 moons. If your looking for inspiration Azorea's Sudan is a good example as is the moon list below:

Formica is a scaled up world of Earth, basically the problem is that if ants were 5 foot human sized, why would they still be underground? The answer was upscale the world so that to a human they would feel as though they were the insect upon arrival. The planet is much like Earth but covered moreso by jungle/rain forest life as it's main terrain. Because the wildlife is bigger the better it is to be in safe smaller colonies.

At least what I had thought, being no expert in this kind of stuff. I thank you for the charts but still don't know which to use.

Also the system is more of something I threw up at the moment until I felt like diving into it. More than likely it be two moons for Formica, One for the planet in front, and none of the smaller planet in back. I also don't see why the planets can't be farther away from the sun (other than Formica) which would probably mean Venus is in front of Formica.

Sun might be a yellow or red, but this is more of a cosmetic thought than a realistic one.
 
If you're increasing the mass of the planet, you need to increase the mass of the sun proportionally based on Earth to Sun. Assuming you're serious about using a sun the same temperature and a planet the same as Earth. Otherwise the planet would be too far out too maintain life, or too close to maintain a stable orbit.
 
I don't quite understand sense I assume you could push the planet back farther to make up for the increased mass, though I suppose that wouldn't work with the jungle like planet I have in mind, though again suppose could just increase the distance and size of sun.

Though I could settle on a Wookie like home world.
 
Actually I was reading up on Stars the other day. Yellow dwarfs(Like our Sun) are actually quite lively and violent.

Orange dwarfs like the Gartagen star are more chilled out, and theoretically may produce more life worlds.

Red dwarfs are smaller then the other two, and you would probably find a life baring world very close to to the star. The planet's rotation would probably be locked in with its rotation around the star forming a narrow "Life band" where the dark meets the light.

Point is selecting what type of star is not to be considered a "Cosmetic thing" but rather something important.
 
The problem with moving it farther away is the loss of temperature, Scot. Earth is more or less at the optimum distance, remember everything needs to be proportional if you're going for bigger but still essentially earth here.
 
A red or yellow star hmm....

well a red dwarf would definitely not leave you a lot of room, so lets think about maybe a red gaint like Andrei was suggesting.

Here is the results for new Aeonic values to pick from.

To help make a better decision Scott, I bolded the main differences between the planets. I also simplified it down to three stars---a sun-like star, and orange dwarf (for Kai), and a red giant (for Andrei). Two them have two version of Formica... one with the right temperature but not 422 days and one with 422 but well... a very abnormally high greenhouse effect ^^;

Since you suggested a Venus I made the smallet Planet one a Venus-like volcano world and the large gas giant a Neptune-sized worlds. Did a guess right?

But for the lols, I did what you suggested Andrei and the right most one is what it would look like if the sun was a massive red gaint.

We need you to take care of the links in the system article and the planet article is a good start but it could use a lot of fleshing out.
