"Uh... yeah." Was all the medic could say in reply, as his Hypolathe began releasing a number of medical nanobots onto her shoulder, which began to knit the tissues back together, sealing the deeper wounds first and closing the skin, all in the span of two or so minutes. "And it's not that you heal slower, but because you have less red marrow to work with, people with too many cybernetics and no way to compensate tend to have more severe reactions to blood loss. That Droskin shit NAM peddles actually works,." He said, trying to not seem like he was suddenly dumbfounded.

To pass the time, the medic decided to take it upon himself to explain to Kagura how cybernetics inhibit certain processes. The entire procedure should not have been painful, save for a small sting and light tugging sensation as separated skin reattached.

"Well... you're pretty much good to go for now. The bleeding on that shoulder is gone, but you might still have light bruising. You should probably head to Medbay soon. XO ordered physicals for everyone, just in case."

Kagura listened to the intricacies of the cybernetics and their effect on the body, not seeming bothered by the near toplessness. "I see, well that makes sense, but the utility of the cybernetics makes up for it in the end. Like my own is a weapon in and of itself." she said as the process finished. "Thanks." she said and patted the guy on the shoulder with a metal hand and headed for the med bay to get a physical.

"Don't mention it." The medic replied a little nonchalantly, holstering his medical device. A bit of a smile formed on his square features, as he saw her off. "The name's Dixon, by the way."

Fay nodded, taking a look at her leg and the wound on it. "Hm.." he thought, trying not to itch at the half-sealed gouge in his back. It had already stopped bleeding on its own, so the medic didn't want to aggravate it again just yet..

Anyways, after careful examination of Amelia's leg, Fay said to her, "Well, first, I'll want to take those pieces of shrapnel out of there.. They seemed to have stopped the bleeding, but we can't just leave them in there. The medbay has proper tools and equipment for this, though." Placing a hand lightly on her shoulder, he continued, "Do you need help getting there, or can you walk with this leg? I can give you some pain meds if you need some." He waited for her reply, though he had a feeling that she would try to do this on her own.

Kagura gave Dixon a wave and continued on, scraping her metal fingers along the way carelessly. She relaxed a bit more as she walked on and just chuckled softly, teasingly swaying her hips to tease the medic behind her before she turned the corner to head down the proper corridor to the medbay, stepping in after a moment and looked for a doc.

"I can get there myself. I'm not helpless." Amelia plucked his hand off of her shoulder and pushed off the wall, making her way down to the medbay, trailing just behind Kagura a little bit. She kept her mechanical hand on the wall to keep her balance as she was trying to not put too much pressure on her leg again.

When she arrived, she noticed the clutter she had created earlier had already been cleaned up. She sighed inwardly, not too proud of that moment. She glanced behind her as she waited for the medic to catch up.

Fay nodded and quietly followed behind the injured marine just in case she needed his help after all. Luckily, she didn't. When they arrived at the medbay, the medic found her a place to sit or lie down, whichever she preferred.

"How's the pain?" he asked non-chalantly as he put on some sanitised gloves and the thorough examination of her leg commenced. In his right hand, he held a tweezer-like device in preparation of extracting the shrapnel; while his left hand carefully opened the deeper wounds to count how many of the dastardly pieces of metal that would have to be removed.

((Oh geez. Uh, sorry about the delay on my message deliverying skills. I was out the whole day yesterday so I couldn't check in.... Well, for any who are still in the bay with the vipers....))

Kat, having waited long enough, made the 'clear the throat' sound and spoke up. "Attention marines, your presence has been requested by Commander Belmonte in the Medbay. You are to unsuit, if you haven't already, and get down to the Medbay as soon as possible."

He looked up momentarily at the Avatar that had just arrived to greet the Marines, not really caring how obvious or odd his studying of her figure might be. "What's up, cutie? Can't the CO wait until we at least take a shower?"

"Ah shit." Harrison said to himself, looking at the group of people shuffling towards the med-bay. He joined the crowd and slipped inside.

It turned out that there appeared to be 4 different pieces of shrapnel in her lower leg and one a bit higher up on her thigh than Fay probably would have liked as she sat herself down at the closest convenient spot. "It hurts and I can't walk straight, isn't that enough?" Amelia sighed, realizing that she was just being difficult. "Alright it hurts a lot.. about as much as you would expect getting hit with say, a shotgun at close range." Which with the number of wounds, probably wasn't that far off.

"Well hopefully I was of some use this mission." She muttered to herself. She looked up at the medic and the dead squadmate crossed her mind. "Hey, I'm sorry about your friend. War is cruel like that." She refrained from adding on something rude like she probably normally would have.

Fay identified five pieces of shrapnel, but the fifth one was definitely a little too close for comfort in a certain area, but the medic would just have to work around that fact. Fay explained his reasoning, "Well, I'm going to give you a shot of pain killers, but if you were already numb from the pain, I wouldn't have to."

"Don't worry, I'm sure that you were very helpful on this mission," Fay chided her with a smile as he injected a small dose of both morphine and droksin directly into her leg. After Amelia said the last part, the Geshrin/Nepleslian paused for a second before replying as he began to work on the shrapnel, "Thanks.. I didn't really know her too well, but I guess that she was as close to a friend as possible for me anymore.."

“Eh... It's like waking up from being knocked out... I don't remember getting hurt, but I certaintly can feel it's effects." She flinched at the needle, but seemed to calm down quickly.

Amelia nodded at his response, frowning slightly. "I see..." She bit her lip, not sure of what else to say.

As he began removing the shards of metal from her leg, she noticed the one that had somehow gotten stuck in her inner thigh. "...Be sure to keep in mind what your job is." Yes, she was basically telling the medic through a very thinly veiled threat to keep his eyes (and hands) on his work.

Feeling a bit ignored by the avatar, Ran simply shrugged it off and made his way down to the Med bay, walking through what, at the time, he would describe as a glorious light-headed wonder light. This of course was the buzz he was currently getting off of his cigarettes, and was soon interrupted by a coughing fit that started out slow enough, but soon increased in intensity and length, nearly causing him to lean against the side of the wall for a few seconds.

"Oh, shit..." He sighed, taking in several precious gulps of air as he recovered from the coughing fit, wiping some saliva from his mouth away with the back of his hand. "I gotta put these fucking things down for a while..." He simply placed the pack of cancer sticks back into his back pocket, checked his uniform, and walked into the med bay.

Already in the medbay, Rose continued to pace around grinding her teeth thinking what a mess those people were making of things. She was even correcting their procedures mentally (not realizing she was mumbling in medical jargon) when they did something she thought was hack and slash.

It really bothered her to be asked to step aside, without something to do her problems were more troublesome. That was when she spotted ran, almost racing over to him. "Chief! Need some help there? They've got Adrian on the table, told me to sid'own but I don't fucking feel like it. You need to get checked out, yeah?"

Ran looked at the incoming Rose, and then all around the medbay. "Yeah, I gotta get checked out. But aren't there more serious cases around here?" Ran simply sat down on one of the chairs, pulling out a pack of nicotine gum, and started to chew it.

Trey had been sitting in the Med bay while the Rest of the soldiers were out on a mission; violently ill with the most unlikely of things for a Yamataian: food poisoning. Turns out, thinking it was broth mix, a caretaker had accidentally poured rat poison in his bowl. Unable to remove the bowl before another caretaker took the tray of dishes out to the briefing room, she had simply kept quiet. Trey had eaten the thing, being miraculously the only one to be poisoned. Lucky him. Well, at least no one had died.

Now, with the sudden rush of wounded, trey was knocked flying off the small bed he was attempting to rest in, and told to wait outside while the more seriously injured from the mission were taken care of. So now he sat, a few paces away from the med bay door, queazy and dry heaving every couple of minutes as his hemosynthetic blood cleaned the poison from his system.

The process of CC restoration was never a pretty thing, of all the things involved with it... probably the most disturbing was having to shell the poor marine's head from their old helmet. It was even worse when the head in its journey back to the ship had been given less than gentle treatment due to whatever external factors, like say, a roaming gun battle, tended to happen.

The notion of putting the severed head in a container of stabilizing fluid in order to slow some of the decomposition was also a rather novel idea after said head had been out in the elements for hours. In the end, the head in the jar was usually heavily bruised, and a little bloated from the onset of decomposition.

Autumn's headjar was not an exemption to the usual effects of time on a battlefield but the mess of what was her neck was obvious. There wasn't too much damage to the Armorer's head but there was some fracturing of her left orbit which added another layer of heavy bruising to her abused face. She was lucky really, some headjars suffered from being accidentally stepped on by other power armors or some other unfortunate accident that made what was left of the head looking like a crushed grape. But with time in the tank, Autumn would be as good as new and alive again, but that would happen whenever the overloaded medics got the chance to do it.

Kagura sauntered into the medbay holding her left arm with her artificial one and looked for a medic. "Hey there Rose, is there any other medics here that can fix up my shoulder?" she asked.

Gyles arrived in the Medbay as soon as he unsuited, apparently bored by a lack of available conversation, save for a few snarky comments made in passing. Very tired and hoping to catch some sleep as soon as he could, orders obliged him to get himself to Medbay before he could wash up and sleep.

"Well what the fuck am I supposed to do now?" He grunted, leaning against an occupied surface. "I've got no wounds, no bumps and nothing sticking out of me. Unless whiplash and exhaustion are suddenly huge life-threatening injuries, I should just get the fuck out of your way."

----

"No can do marine. Hang around a second, they're going to explain everything." A rather plain nurse said, gently barring his way as she pushed a trolley of medicine destined for the newly-arrived Red PoWs on the ship.

----

"Okay, now that most of you are here, I want you to listen up. Our senior officers on board are ordering us to give you all full physicals before letting you all go free. Nothing too invasive, but we'll need several samples and have to run several tests on all of you." One of the medics from earlier said, pulling out a several syringes. "We need blood samples, heart rate and you'll have to get neural and body scans taken."

"Once you've given us a blood sample, file behind me to the right. You don't have to disrobe, and we have the equipment set up behind blinds in case you do."

----

One of the medical technicians had begun unloading the contents of Autumns MEC and was preparing to unfreeze and deconstruct her cranium to extract the contents. "Ugh... you know, I've never liked handling these MEC units. The contents always look like bruised popsicles."
