"You haven't actually lost any parts. But most of what you could attach to the old body, the cybernetics, body art and scars are gone." The medic said, frowning as he found himself unable to think of much more to say than just facts. He seemed to be a tall-ish man of a lighter complexion with rectangular head and very austere, masculine features. A tuft of curly brown hair hung over his forehead from underneath his white bandana, while his deep blue eyes wandered a little.

"Basically, someone killed you, and your head was too rattled up to attach to a fresh body. So we brought you back from your CC, which is back in your head already." He said smiling, tapping the side of her head. "Oh, and you're not a copy either, like with the ST that Yamatai uses. You're the original, with all over her memories up to the point of death. Some of your memories starting from your last REM cycle might be a tad hazy, but it might get better with time."

Autumn seemed to consider the gravity of this knowledge rather thoughtfully. "Guess it's time to form an opinion about the nature and existence of a soul, I guess. I guess you might be lying to me to mess with me... but if I died and gone elsewhere you'd either be naked or much uglier."

"Right..." Ran had just completed his scans, listening to the usual comments on the deteriorating condition of his lungs. Lighting up and taking a drag from another cigarette in the spirit of defiance against anything these medical professionals said, the Chief let a stream of smoke snake out of his nostrils. "I want everyone to be cleaned up and ready for briefing in 20 minutes. Hurry your asses." He said, more as an afterthought than an actual order.

"Laa dee daaaa...." He stifled a small cough, shaking his head at a random caretaker passing by, who had his very oily hair covering up half of his face, with what appeared to be a satchel bag slapping the side of his leg, covered up by a pair of way-too-tight jeans. "...Maybe some people just suck dick to get through boot nowadays." The Chief sighed to himself, rounding a corner and facing the bunk rooms that he was assigned to.

Reaching into his bag, Ran pulled out a fresh set of clothes and the single bottle of schnapps (which had now been reduced to 1/4 of what it previously contained.) "...Well, shit." He held the bottle up to the light, trying to see the level at which the alcohol was at in the bottle. "Fucking dicks've been leeching off of my shit." He sighed, taking the rest of the schnapps down in a very long, refreshing, swig. "I'd better buy shit that tastes awful..." Lighting yet another cigarette, and depositing the previously used one in the empty schnapps bottle, Ran made his way to the showering area.

Harrison stepped out of the scanner shortly after Ran had left. Still fully clothed (including the bullet-riddled pants), Harrison headed to his quarters to change into a fresh uniform, shave hif ace and put on some deodorant to make sure he didn't reek. In his opinion, it was easier than a shower.

"Aye aye, Chief Rui. Do you want me in the briefing dressed or is this towel going to be my uniform of the day?" Autumn asked much too loudly with a grin as she heard the Chief's bark from somewhere else in the med bay.

"Anyway, just clean up and head to debriefing. You're exempt from physicals." The medic said to Autumn, gesturing to a clean uniform shirt and pants on a shelf. "It might not be in your size, but it can't really be helped. The average patient is a lot less shapely than you."

----

Gyles patiently had his scans taken, only to be reminded that he would be better off with ocular cybernetics than wearing a visor all the time. He admitted to himself that if he did get any sun, it would make for a very stupid-looking tan line, and that would probably be out of the question. But he didn't particularly *need* new eyes, and eventually started to tune the medical admonitions after a while.

Finished with his blood tests and scans, he'd only need to shower up and head over to debriefing now...

"Gotcha, thanks, hun," Autumn replied as she looked back at the medic again, squinting a little at him as his features started getting more in focus. "When is my sight gonna come back to normal, you think? I should be able to get to the briefing all right but navigating to a shower is going to be a bit of a trick... though that might be fun to stumble around during... just not condusive to getting to official mandatory things."

She grinned as she took a few awkward, slow steps towards the shelf to retrieve the clean uniform. She kept her right hand clutching the front of her towel to keep it around her nakedness in an odd sense of modesty not quite familiar to the Armorer.

"Well... your body chemistry is a little mixed up because that body has only been alive for several minutes. If you really want, I can give you a small dose of stims to speed things up." He answered, scratching his bandanna. "Or a big dose to get everything working right away. The crash won't be any fun, though."

"..How about something in the middle? Are they just sending us on leave after this or are we getting sent out on another mission?" Autumn suggested as she picked up a shirt and shook it out with her empty hand trying to figure out which way the tag faced. Satisfied that the shirt felt like it was not inside out, she let go of her towel and tugged the shirt on over her head. Once her arms were through, she tugged the bottom edge of the shirt down as much as she could to get it straight. She felt at the back of her neck again to verify that the shirt was on properly.

"Or are we transferring to another ship again?" She asked as she patted the shelf for the pair of pants, repeating the same procedure she went through for the shirt before she carefully stepped into the uniform pants. "These don't seem that bad, are they too small? I can't tell right now."

Kagura would let her arm and other wounds quietly get fixed up as she watched the others come and go with their own injuries. She'd just hoped that someone higher up had gotten the images of the Mindy she'd uploaded to them and winced as the medic stitched he shoulder gashes up. It hurt yeah, and left her left arm numb for a time to heal. When it was all over she was given a sling to let it rest in and would sent off to the debriefing.

But as she came out of the adjacent room, she'd be delighted to see that Autumn was back and approached her quietly and blinked. I tseemed like she was getting used to her new body and Kagura tapped her shoulder lightly. "It's good to see you alive again." she said morosely as if still in a little pain.

What could have been a very decent moment was soon to be interrupted by a very loud and very long yawn coming from the Chief's mouth as he entered the debriefing room. He had just arrived mere minutes after his rather long shower, and the rest of the Schnapps that he'd consumed during his cleaning session had yet to really take effect. Hopefully it'd kick in after the briefing was completed. "Wilde, good to see you alive again. You got a good head on your shoulders." Not really wanting to stick around to see the damage his pun caused, the Chief simply sat on some random chair nearby to relax.

"Kagura, you got a little dinged up?" He looked behind him at her, with his head still supported by two hands. "Hey, where the fuck is everyone?" He looked from side to side. "It doesn't take that fucking long to shower up a bit before briefing. But, shit..." He sighed and pulled out a cigarette, which he quickly lit and started taking a few drags from. "Soon as we get dumped back onto shore leave, I'm taking a nice long bubble bath with six bar girls. Or, yknow, hookers." He sighed at that. "I don't know if they have a fixed rate for bubble baths..."

Ran started coughing, again, pinching the other end of his cigarette thin as the hand holding it tightened a bit into a fist. "Agh, shit..." He sighed about half a minute later, taking another drag from it in order to satisfy that horrible itch in the back of his throat that grew more and more irritating.

Harrison walked into the room about five minutes after Ran, having stopped to heckle a snack off the kitchen staff and make a trip to the john. He nodded in Autumn's direction.

"Good to see you back on your feet." No sarcasm, no hidden joke, nothing. Just respect. Harrison didn't like seeing people get blasted to pieces with heavy artillery, so it was always good to know you could get them back.

After getting the shrapnel taken out and the scans done, Amelia had waited till she could find a shower where no one else could see her. Shy? Perhaps. Or maybe she was hiding something else? Regardless she was one of the last ones to arrive, feeling a little sheepish.

She walked into the room, noticing her dead teammate standing there chatting it up. She blinked but didn't say anything. She hadn't known her like the others here so she couldn't think of anything to say to her.

She watched the chief bring himself closer to long cancer a bit more and cringed. She still felt a little bad about how she had slipped up during the mission so she listlessly sat in a chair away from where everyone else sat.

"That'd probably work, just don't go operating any heavy machinery in about fourty minutes from now. You'll feel a small crash, and'll probably want to sit it out for another five or so." The medic replied, loading a canister of stimulants in a liquid suspension into his NCS Hypolathe. "Can I have your arm for a second?"

Autumn smiled as she offered her arm to the medic, "Sure, anything for a man in uniform." She looked over at the distant blurred shapes of her friends with a grin. "Hey, I'd say it's great to see ya'll again but I can't see quite right yet."

"So I've heard." Harrison said, still in the back of the room. He decided that he would eventually have to find a seat, so while he continued his conversation with Autumn, he moved towards a seat in the last two back rows.

The was a small hissing noise coming from the tip of the pistol-shaped device as the medic gave Autumn a medium-sized dose of stimulants. He smiled and holstered the device, feeling rather good about himself right now. "Count to ten. It should take about twice that for it to be evenly distributed throughout your body."

Rose came in with her hair still wet, and what parts of her skin that anyone could see was a little red. Aggressive scrubbing, you could say and she smelled very very clean but hinted with a sort of loamy kind of scent.

I'm clean..but I didn't get to kill anyone. She was holding her clipboard, more like clutching it to her chest really. Without thinking, Dream sat next to Weynolt without a word, and let her eyes slowly take a trip around the room mostly to see if there was anything that she could do.

Trey, tall as he was, seemed to have snuck into the room with no one noticing, probably because he was the first one ready, and was now napping lightly in a corner of the room. The sudden influx of voices and talking however, had the effect of waking him, and so he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and moved to a seat closer to everyone. To the nearest person, Harrison, he asked "How did the mission go? I missed it because of poisoning or something."

"Awesome, thanks, cutie," Autumn said with a grin at the medic. She closed her eyes and counted to ten. She opened them again and watched her vision start to focus into less fuzzy clarity. "Right, now I can get my butt to that debriefing."
