I remember there was some discussion on this a while ago, or perhaps that was on RNG functions now I think about it.

Anyways, before I go on a ramble, I've been doing a lot of app development for my uni course in addition to my 12 years of prior knowledge on the subject.

In the future, I'd like to give making Star Army an app a shot, as a side project. It won't be coming soon or anything like that, I already have enough on my plate sadly.

If there's anything you think would be useful or nice to see, air your ideas here and I'll take them into account :P

Cheers

A ship creation app.

It’s one of those things I’ve always been meaning to do, but I have a hard time doing code unless being threatened.

100% is base it on the DRv2 stat tables. You’d have a slider for ship size, and then some sliders for allocating those points to weapons/Shields/engines. Numbers would pop out based on the size of the ship vs how many points are assigned to each value.

Bonus points for producing wiki code.

Double bonus points for being able to call the wiki API to create a wip ship page from the app.

Hmm...
I think one great feature would be the ability to access both the forums and the wiki really easily, from the same app. Rather than having separate tabs on an internet browser, if that makes sense! :P
Maybe on top of that, a super easy way tolink things from the SARP wiki for forum posts, maybe using something similar to the built-in internal link system for wiki article editing.

What about a SARP card minigame, a.l.a. MAGIC? That seems like something that has potential because the scope is limited and the rules could be easy to nail down into a program.

make sure it's notifications work gud i personally haven't had any issues cause I look at the site 1 time a minute but I see a lot of people wondering why the notifications haven't been working properly.

I think it would be much appreciated by a lot of people ^^
