Annoying Search Help Function

I have this thing that when I type in a word it tries to tell me everything I've ever searched, and to be frank it's a little annoying. Actually it's very annoying. No I have no searched for things I'd rather forget, it's just annoying me a lot!

In any case is there a way of getting rid of it? I'd really value you people's technological know-how.
 
If you're using FireFox then it should just be a case of going Tools > Clear Private Data and then ticking the 'Saved Form Information' box (and unticking the others), and then clicking the 'Clear Private Data Now' button.

If you are using IE on the other hand... shame on you, go get FF :P
Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Forms

Hope that's what you're after.
 
Thanks, that really helped. Annoying options no longer pop up.

And I sitll use IE for my sins, it just happens to be simpler at the moment rather than getting Fire Fox and so forth.
