[Asuka] A visit to clear the mind...

Yaichiro stopped the Asuka at the edge of Nepleslian space, and opened a channel...the ship powered down her weapons as well.

This is Kage Yaichiro in the YSS Asuka, declaring intention to enter Nepleslian space as indicated in earlier communications. As approved by your government, I would like to proceed to Nepleslian Orbit along with an escort vessel, then be escorted down to the planet while in my shuttle.

Not too far from Yaichiro's ship, two DD4-D destroyers melted back to space with their fold drives. The vessels were both in Nepleslian space.

Permission granted. Planet-side escorts are waiting at Starbase Hayes.

In the interim before their arrival, Asuka had already met with the Asamoya by chance at the border, and picked up Midori as a passenger...he gave the shaken Samurai a reassuring glance before responding.

Understood. Requesting FTL maneuver to Starbase Hayes, the speed and course being whatever you prefer.

Make hyperspace jump to 1.5 AU from Nepleslian star system and proceed to Hayes at Sublight.

The two vessels flashed from normal space, headed back to Nepleslia, although not before transmitting the coordinates of preferred points in space to exit hyperspace, as well as Hayes' position.

The Asuka complied, appearing at the requested location, and proceeding to the coordinates given for Hayes.

Hyperspace Fold completed, approaching Hayes. Requesting approach vectors and any other needed clearances. Will I be docking with Hayes while on Nepleslia, or will Asuka merely orbit the planet independantly?

Soon, a Tolchok and it's Hray escort from the 3rd Assault Fleet would arrive out of FTL, stopping .25 AU from the Asuka. The Asuka's commander would soon receive a transmission from the Tolchok:

This is the NSS Breakdown and it's escort, the NSS Trouble of the 3rd Assault Fleet. We're here to escort you kittens down. Captain Charlie in the Hray will escort your shuttle down, while my ship will stay with your scout. No funny business, please.

Toshiro sent a reply, confirming his readiness to go.

My shuttle will launch soon...and don't board the Asuka, please. I have an NH-27 aboard with psychiatric issues, who was unexpectedly entrusted to my care...I doubt she'd react well to boarders. She is locked out of ship control save for emergency situations, and will remain on the Asuka. I do permit standard passive scans, as long as there's no theft of technology.

Also, standard procedure for boarders is also a self destruct option, but I'm sure you're aware. No accusations, just fair warning.

With that, Yaichiro prepared to leave the ship, turning to Midori.

"Will you be alright by yourself for a while? I have my communicator, so you can call me if you need to..."

Captain Dixon snerked at the reply, causing a nearby Communications Officer to jump in his seat.

"You heard the cat, I want passive scans on that ship as soon as the shuttle leaves. Have Commander Fry follow suit. And I want pre-made requests for reinforcements ready to send to the 3rd Fleet just in case these guys brought friends with them. Have the Commander follow suit."

Shortly after these orders were carried out, the Captain sent a reply to the Asuka.

Roger, we are not to board the Asuka, but we request that the scout come to -us-, first. Furthermore, we would like to inform you that there is a sizable detachment of Marines where you are headed to.

No accusations, just fair warning.

"I hope we don't have any renegade fucking Nekos on Hayes."

Do whatever you must to ensure the security of your space and people. I am just obligated to inform you of these measures. Call in as many ships as you like to watch the Asuka.

With that, the Asuka approached the Nepleslian vessel, shield and weapons still powered down.

In response, the NSS Breakdown simply waited for the vessel to come closer. When it was close enough, the Tolchok's Hray escort immediately came forward and stopped above the Asuka.

I'm your escort. Let's get this show on the road.

Midori simply nodded to Yaichiro, watching a view screen in front of her that was playing some soft melodic music from the Kyoto orchestra. It was a recent performance the orchestra had put on and it was rather soothing for Midori. The poor woman longed for a violin of her own just then.

"I will be fine Yaichiro-sama..."

 

[Toshiro]

Yaichiro blinked at being called 'Yaichiro-sama', and actually blushed ever so slightly. After all, such an honorific had never been used to describe him before...

"I will have the Asuka keep an eye on you...if you need someone to chat with, contact me or talk to her...feel free to send communications as well...and ask the nodal system for whatever else you may want."

After giving Midori a platonic hug of support, he left. Soon, his shuttle detached from Asuka.

This is Kage Yaichiro-Shosa, disembarking and falling in position relative the escort. I am the shuttle's only occupant, and the only one setting foot on Nepleslia.

Passive scans matched the story...only one person on the shuttle and one on the ship, with the standard blank spots in the ship's class preventing scanning of restricted tech. Nothing unusual or deviant to the young officer's story would be found.

Roger. You will hold position to the front and portside of our Hray while we escort you. I would also like to inform you that our caretakers on board the NSS Breakdown are busy making a meal. Perhaps we could deliver some to your ship and have dinner after?

"Uh...Commander, don't you think Captain Dixon might have something to say about that? After all, going on board a Yamataian ship could spell out disaster for any non-Yammie." Commander Fry's Marine XO spoke up, simultaneously lighting a cigarette.

"We need to be diplomatic about this, Senior Chief. I'm sure that if our guests bring news home that the uncouth barbarian Nepleslians are actually quite hospitable, diplomatic relations could improve." He turned to the Senior Chief suddenly, scowling at the Marine. "And smoke down in the barracks, Marine."

 

[Jo Midori]

"Arigatou." Midori nodded lightly to the mention of both the Nodal system, as well as the MEGAMI of the ship at her disposal. She supposed a little conversation would be nice later on when she got lonely, but for now the orchestra would keep her attention and keep her calmed down thankfully.

 

[Toshiro]

Normally I would not hesitate to invite you aboard for dinner on my vessel, but again, I do not wish you to encounter the Samurai in her current state if it can be helped. If we could dine elsewhere, then certainly. I could make up for it by having my ship provide some food of its own, if desired.

Yaichiro replied, the shuttle ready to go.

I understand. Perhaps we could have dinner on board the NSS Breakdown. Unfortunately, your Samurai may have to sit it out. But yes, please proceed to Starbase Hayes. We will be not far behind you.

Commander Fry responded, sending a communication to the rest of the fleets.

Understood, and I agree. I'll likely take some back to her if permitted...she was never a social woman anyway. Matching speed and vector with your shuttle, proceeding to Hayes.

He sent as he guided the shuttle as directed. At this rate, he couldn't meet Elisa...regrettable, but he couldn't excessively risk himself...not with Midori to take care of. Besides...He came here to relax and reflect, and at LEAST he could manage that...

(OOC: I believe that I will fast forward in the Yamataian plot and consider this 'vacation' the past. It is necessary for me to have Yaichiro at Yamatai, but I want to continue this. In short, any RPs at Yamatai from this point on are AFTER the Nepleslian ones.)
