Yes. The Yggdrasill is a civilian vessel dedicated to that niche, though exploration is also planned.
We actually use a visual basic program to determine what items we obtain, a maximum number of items held for the vessels involved, the securing of storage space, rules, and the surrendering of restricted technology.
