Personality: An imposing figure at first glance, Braeden actually has a kind and friendly nature and likes to help people although he can become extremely vicious in fights. He has a habit of making cliched or stupid comments to lighten up situations and drinks vast amounts of alcohol without appearing to be affected.

Communication: Braeden is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. He is fluent in English and can speak and write both correctly and efficiently, can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.
Fighting and Physical: Braeden received hand-to-hand combat training by way of loading all the necessary related knowledge into the soldier's memory, and then following up with a rigorous training program. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained in include energy pistols and power armor. Braeden also learned to fight with hand-to-hand at an early age due to the loss of his parents and now handles anything from a stiletto to a sword with a great deal of skill.
Information Technology: Capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. Braeden is proficient in entering and/or searching for information (and uploading, playing and then deleting a variety of combat-orientated games).
Mathematics: Braeden received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry on induction to the Star Army, having no formal schooling before that point.
Survival and Military: Once off Neplesia, Braeden found his life, for the most part, uneventful. To counter this, he spends much of his leave time on or travelling between planets, looking for the most inhospitable environments he can find and surviving there for, sometimes, weeks at a time.
Construction: An area of skill stemming directly from his survivalist nature. Braeden learned over time to build or fabricate shelters, weaponry and tools from materials in the environment around him. Invaluable if shipwrecked and able to make anything from a crude hammer to a mountain chalet, given time.
Rogue: The only true skill (other than binge drinking) Braeden learned during his lonely childhood on Neplesia was the Art of Bumping Into People (or pickpocketting for those less able to interpret). A wallet from your pocket, a jacket from your back, Braeden is able to steal many things large and small and escape detection, although he doesn't practice this skill very often now that he's off Neplesia.
History: Brought up in the slums of Neplesia but his aged parents. Braeden got into a lot of fights, losing the tip of his finger to a skilled knife fighter. He joined the Star Army at the age of 24 while drunk and, after sobering up, has never looked back. He always keeps his knives with him (usually in his boots) and is most often seen with his GP-5 slung across his back or on a target range.
His history of petty crime on Neplesia usually has people shying away from contact, but as a man able to make friends easy thanks to his (usually) curteous atitude, drinking habit and friendly, if someone gruff speaking voice. As with all organisations, there is usually a bar somewhere, be it a facility, starship or city. Braeden has an uncanny knack of being able to locate the local bar, and will be in it the moment he has some spare time.
Drinking aside, Braeden is also an employee of NovaCorp - a soldier and liason. How he got the job, nobody but he knows... although it is the general thought that he was able to get the local NovaCorp induction officer drunk in one of the seediest bars on Hoshi no Iori, then sang lewd songs until the beleagered man agreed, then promptly fell asleep in a pool of stale beer.
