camouflage for the new age

I found a camouflage creator while I was surfing the web. It has a variety of patterns and can be customize with a very diverse group of options including color and pixelation. Its not my website, but I was hoping maybe it could help with depicting camouflage in the story.

So far, I believe CADPat was considered the most effective Camo Pattern sometime recently? That may have changed though.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f6/CADPAT.jpg/1024px-CADPAT.jpg CADPat for reference.

I don't know how well we could improve Camo at this point, without getting into Scifi. Honesty at a certain point basic "Chameleon" systems would probably exist ((If it doesn't I am makig it)) and Camo would be more dependant of tricking sensor suits rather than Mk1 Eyeballs.

It certainly is a cool website. Thoughts anyone?

Wow, I'm glad Edto bumped this thread because I somehow missed this when it was first posted! This is a cool and useful tool.

For the Star Army's current camouflage, RIKUPAT, I actually generated it in old Paint Shop Pro 7 using a free plugin I found.

There is also camouflage fabric and of course the optic and volumetric camouflage that some Nekovalkyrja have.

So this is a thing? I had asked about camo patterns and the like and nothing about this came up.

@Wes - I think it might be beneficial to stockpile camo patterns, both public domain and in-house created, so that creators can more easily find and access them. I know for sure that Nepleslia didn't have one listed when I asked around (or at least, not that anyone knew), so maybe this can be some collective art page for the site?

I'm sure there are ways to Generate patterns, but at this point in Sci-Fi I don't see why Nepleslia would need a CamoPattern other than Asthetics. You guys may not be as finess as Yamatai is but like... I am pretty certain you are in the same technology tier.

There is also a page for NMX camouflage patterns.

I think it might be useful to have some central texture resource for SARP artists, not just camouflage but things like starship hull patterns too.
