Hello, Mizuho-san! This is just a communication to see how you're doing in your new surroundings and fill you in on what's happened on the Yggdrasill. I'm sorry if the title of "Civilian Tactical Advisor" isn't correct, it's just the most official sounding thing I could come up with from what Kotori-Taii sounded like she wanted you to do for her vessel. Speaking of that, how are you settling in on the Miharu? Do you like Kotori-Taii and her crew? Feel free to omit what you think is necessary. Kotori-Taii seemed to indicate that the Miharu might be in secret operations or something like that.
As for me, I used the "one free pass" that Kotori-Taii gave me for the spaceport to get off of Taiie and move my operation to a storage facility orbiting Midori no Umi. Taiie is simply too much trouble right now to enter and leave, though I hope to return once the military lifts the restrictions a bit...the warehouse there was much nicer, and cheaper to boot.
I actually have three crewmembers now, so I've had to get out of the habit of calling myself a "pilot", and start going by "Captain". The first is the new pilot, Ken, who has previous experience in piloting Vampires and seems to have ties to both KFY and Zen Armaments. He is of decent skill, and is learning the yggdrasill's custom systems quickly. He also gave me a broken down Equine named the "Alucard", which I plan to work on repairing and perhaps upgrading.
The second is Shaun, a Star Army of Nepleslia veteran who is my Offense Officer/Weapons Specialist. He has an interesting prototype AI named "Eve".
The third is a Neko named Kairi. She is an Engineer/Technician, but seems interested in learning how to pilot Power Armors. Since the Yggdrasill has recently obtained a Demon and a Kylie, she will have the opportunity.
The way I met her was interesting...when everything was said and done with our own meeting, the Star Army unexpectedly rewarded me with 5000 KS--the same rumored price as an enslaved Neko. Being near Nepleslia anyway, I bought the freedom of Kairi to have the reward do someone else some good, only to find that the Neko I rescued had originally left Yamatai and her previous position to answer my advertisement...I haven't yet determined if this is a coincidence or if it is karma, though I suspect the latter.
