Looks like I got some wonderfully nasty virus that destroys my McAfee just as it turns on and shuts my computer down ala MS Blaster. Sorry about your orders raz; I'll try and get them up while I'm at work tomorrow, or I'll just stay late at work. Fucking fine time for this to happen. It might fix itself, or I might be totally fucked. Anyway, figured you guys would want to know.

(Posting from girlfriend's comp, logging off now, back tomorrow morning?)

Well, if all else fails, just reload windows.

If it gives you a countdown or you can get to the Run prompt, try giving it 'shutdown -a' as a command- it will forcibly abort shutdown. I once had a similar virus that wasn't smart enough to prevent or react to this.

Don't worry about the orders thing, man. I hope you get your problem fixed as fast as possible :)

MY CTRL+ALT+DEL IS FASTER THAN THE VIRUS

At least for now. Hopefully McAfee will do its goddamn job now. But my graphics card keeps whirring up and threatens to melt or something.

Here is a page about the MSBlaster virus. If you can manage to get into windows fast enough, you could download the said file which can remove the virus.

The direct like to the removal tool is:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe

I'd suggest downloading the .exe on another computer and put on a disc/floppy and right when you get on windows, run it.

If you still have probelms, you could try making a Win98 boot floppy because the virus does not affect anything Win98.

Hope this helps
