This sort of came to me while ago while I was trying to think of some plot ideas, and this is came to me when I noticed that there are a few players with characters that are waiting to join new plots, but can't because their characters don't fit the mold needed, or it never took off.
So picking up on Tom's jam session concept for Street Life, I wanted to bring this up as an idea. We have single characters that engage in RPs in a linear progression, with those actual RPs only coming up when it matters. You're not going to have to RP filler, but only the really interesting or involved parts.
My original idea for this kind of RP on SARP was with the idea of an Iromakuanhe youth that is on a pilgrimage of sorts, going from nation to nation to understand what is faith to other species. But it coould be applied to any number of things, and eventually, we could even have characters sort of aggregating into small plotships.
Now, for this to work, we need only two things:
-Independent players that can manage not constantly being under orders.
-Game Masters and Faction Managers that are willing to play host to them.
