5. Inside the Conquest
Bridge: The conquest is a symbol of Nepleslian power, and thus it has one of the most ornate and spacious bridges of any Nepleslian vessel, designed to safely accommodate visitors. The rear of the bridge actually has a bar (yes, that's right, a bar) that is always open and seats up to twelve on its stools.
6. Ship Systems
Escape Pods: The conquest carries 30, ten man, life boats with basic compressed air thrusters and food supplies to last 10 normal people ten days. The food is in the form of dried rations and is not very tasty so lifeboats are often stocked with some manor of alcohol. The life boats have padded sides, and no artificial gravity. Because of the seclusion of the life boats it is not uncommon to find pillows and other personal effects inside. The ship also carries two soul savior pods that can hold the ST backups of 400 people. Encased in an armored compartment away from the main bridge and computer is the ship's black box which also contains a complete ST backup record of the ship's crew as well as the data retrieved by the ship. External Launch Bays: The Conquest has two external launch bays and twenty five quick launch catapult systems. The external bays are covered by large armored doors which slide open to expose the bay to outer space. The power armors and fighters can be recovered here as well as diplomatic shuttles and the like. For launching power armors and fighters the ship's twenty five quick launch catapults can quickly couple with the machine needing to be launched and accelerate them out the front of the ship through an armored passageway, covered by an armored ‘lip' that extends over the launch port so that enemy fire can not hurt the interior of the ship. These catapults can launch one unit every ten seconds, allowing the ship to deploy its entire compliment of mecha in half a minute.
Environmental Systems: The hydroponics bay of the battleship. Serves to keep a fresh food supply onboard and clean the air of the ship. The plants there serve only to purify the air while machines keep the air pressure at the right levels and monitor for any harmful releases of chemicals in the air. Chemicals that can not be handled by the plants in the hydroponics bay can be extracted by machines and kept for release later. The ship also carries 100 highly compressed Oxygen tanks, as the hydroponics is not 100% efficient. This system, un interrupted by outside events, can last seven months before a noticeable decline in air quality occurs.
Conquest Type-A turret (25): Spaced out around the hull of the Conquest is a series of wormhole based anti-matter rail guns which fire highly compressed anti-matter shells at high velocities, using a linear wormhole generator to quickly transport the round to within hundreds of feet of the target, letting the anti-matter shell impact the target. The shells themselves use energy sheathing to penetrate subspace shields and the like. The linear wormhole generators can also be used to cause subspace distortions which can deal damage to small ships such as fighters and mecha.
