In an effort to force more activity out of myself and the other senators, the following rules are immediately in effect for all senate threads:
1. Debate shall remain steady and constant. This means posting spans with at most 48 hours between them.
2. If more than 72 hours passes before continued debate restarts, I reserve the right to cast a motion to either change the focus of discussion, vote on the topic, or close the topic.
3. If the lack of activity is caused by myself, after 96 hours (4 days), any senator has a right to intitiate one of the aforementioned motions. The FIRST senator to make the motion forces the issue. Other senators may only move along with the motion unless it is a vote, where they may vote yes or no. This means that motions to change debate or close the topic are automatically approved.
4. In the event a vote is forced, a simple majority of those voting in the thread is required for passage of the topic. If the vote is tied, the premiere casts the tiebreaking vote. The vote will last for 72 hours.
5. During normal debate (ones not affected by lack of participation), it is my hope that debate will eventually peter out and a vote with be cast naturally, but if this is not the case, I reserve the right to push things forward.
6. Senators who do not post in active topics within 7 days risk losing their position on the senate.
7. I reserve the right to change these rules as necessary.
