Defense Screen

Passive generator: Provides no actual combat defense save against debris, radiation, and for commencing hyper-fold jumps.

Protecting against debris and radiation can be combat related. And are you trying to say that this system is is also a Hyperspace engine, or are you saying its for protecting a ship during jump.

Due to the size and power used, the shield can be projected to encompass a number of ships. How far can the shield be projected from the ship and since you are spreading energy, the protection should decrease with the greater range as the area increases by inverse square law.
 
Do you realize how big a bubble you want this shield to cover?

Radius 62 Miles (100km)

That means your field at 100km has a circumference of 125,663 square km. That's a lot of area to project a shield over. Strongly encourage reducing the range to something smaller.
 
How did they manage to get "Very Advanced." For their shield modifier? From the looks of it the technology is fairly bulky and possibly primitive in terms of miniaturization and power needs. What kind of shield is this exactly?
 
It is going to be put on "Phalanx" ships and they will move around and throw up their barrier as needed.
