"And now our time of questions and answers comes to a close, children" The woman said in the silent moments when everyone began to process what they knew, or more accurately didnt know.
It was just the slightest gesture; The simple lifting of a finger and the void began to close in on them rapidly, the distant forms surging forward faster and faster in the dark and setting a primal fear to the mind of everyone present.
For her part, the younger Duece shot upwards and had changed in the blink of an eye as the formless black fatigues she wore seemed to morph into the operators iconic Black bodysuit. She didnt dawn the usual kine blades but instead a PMOPE was in her hands before anyone could even blink.
Her one-child counter-assault was halted however with a shrill scream of "Wait!"
And they did at Locust's demand. Yet the void was in turmoil as forms without number surged around them like a whirlpool waiting to close in.
"I-" She swallowed hard, clearly apprehensive. "I still have my turn. Tell them everything you told us. The whole truth. They need to know otherwise-" She stammered out, her eyes darting left and right around her at the group before settling on Carina. For her part the old woman seemed to ponder for a moment before casually cooed "No~"
Faster than anyone could normally speak Locust began to ramble incoherently in a seeming mental breakdown. She declared that she was sick and that she needed help, That she didnt want to do this anymore, and that it simply wasnt fair, and most of all that the woman had no right to do this to her!
She looked to want to continue but seemed to choke and sputter out incoherent babbling when she turned her ire to the mysterious woman in the back.
And then her training kicked in and she willed her SPAID into existence and brought it to bear towards the darkness.
If anyone else in the group had their wits about them in time they had less time to react before the void closed in on them. Forms both machine and biological tore at them and tore them apart yet none of them died from even mortal wounds until every little last fiber of their being had simply been torn down to the barest atom.
And then the void was quiet once more with the exception of two sad notes still playing over and over...
30 Seconds Earlier - Molotra.
Her third eye opened.
What once was black became an explosion of colors beyond even machine comprehension as tones and colors collided and bloomed to reveal everything. The void was open to her as the spacer was suddenly able to perceive the digital flow as time seemed to slow to a crawl around her as each and every second around her stretched into milliseconds beyond count and the forms that closed in were little more than logic paths connected to simple sub-routines that now that she saw them she knew she could cut their proverbial threads like a marionette and let them fall with but a simple command.
But there was more important paths to follow, and she did. She followed the data while examining its encryption and its intricate while trying to gleam their truths until she found the wall.
A mass blocked her sight; Transparent but shaded as if a form of glass with swirling lights within could only just be made out. And it went up and up until it was simply out of sight beyond even her range of vision.
But then there was a sound to take her attention elsewhere.
The same sad notes from the void, distant but still clearly audible grew louder and louder above her as the faux-brightness of an imitation sky darkened. There were stars and constelations and nebule now, And in them a form was coming into being as the darkness coalesced and the heavens themselves took form.
She was clearly female, Or at least the twin mounds the size of planets seemed to indicate as they passed her by; The ground beneath Molotras feet now in the shape of a hand lifted her higher and higher until she was face to face with... A face...
It was dark and hard to perceive as if it was made of glass but still moved fluidly as the stargod before her pulled its lips into a smile and great orbs of eyes without iris or color looked at her and through her. It knew everything she knew and gave nothing back as it tore Molotra apart with its gaze alone to her bare essential elements and gave nothing in return.
Even so Molotra could still see and perceive; She looked into the void, the great and terrible thought of non-existence and knew it wondered if Molotra was worthy of the gifts bestowed upon her? For she was designed to break apart; She was made to crumble, and so the star god made it so.
Slowly, Molotra's consciousness started to fade even trapped as she was as her ghost was pulled in a douzen directions. This being touched not only the InterNep but all forms and connections from the Polysentience to even Pantheon and beyond as her dust was pulled towards these places like water towards a drain. But the star god simply willed her back and Molotra was whole and aware once more.
It spoke, and she listened. It told her everything and let her sit upon its shoulder and peer beyond the veil beside her for eons and eternity. She knew the writings of The book of never again that had yet to reach the kikyo sector from places even the free folk were young and naive to. She saw the death of a sun and the birth of void-terrors clawing from the Aether.
It was impossible to take in even a fraction of the information and knew even this entity she shared it with could only glimpse these truths and could never understand them either. For it too was insignificant in the grand scheme; Barely a step of digital evolution above a ghost herself.
As if knowing Molotra had come to this conclusion and needing her to know it brought her close to its face.
It kissed her on the forehead, now the old woman again. She casually pushed Molotra away and she drifted as she wished her farewell. It told her that the more one knows the more they will regret it; That they never should have learned, that one will never learn enough to justify the madness. That if something happened it should all just stop so that one could be put out of their misery. That it was planned that way, but that one should never believe in it. It didnt happen. And so one would die on their own, a slow and painful death in a way one should never have to experience alone.
And so molotra drifted away until even the old woman was out of sight and the bright and colorful world began to darken. Time sped up once more until only a few seconds had passed since she daned to look beyond.
And she too was torn apart in purgatory like the rest...
