Do pilots wear a flight suit while flying power armors?

A question, since my new main's an armor pilot.

Do pilots wear a flight suit or anything when they're in their armors?

It depends on the model series. The Super PHALANX is fine for a uniform or jumpsuit, but the Nekovalkryja models (also the Kylie) require the pilot to be nude.

For the next major power armor, would people be interested in one that uses a form-fitting suit?

I, personally, wouldn't mind that the pilot wear a soft suit under the armor, it'd allow a more explainable interface system with hardpoints on the pilot suit, instead of the armor wiring itself into the pilot's spine, or using whatever kind of sinq system the kyle has.

SPINE does allow for communication through clothing. It shouldn't cause a problem for NH-29 nekovalkyrjas. It doesn't involve direct wiring, merely ease of communication for nervous signal and data input. when the 'receptors' are close by. Nekos are wireless now, to a certain range (around arm's reach?) ~_^

The Phalanx interfaces with the body with something known as the Echo Suit:

Interior: The Phalanx's interior provides thousands of points of interface with the pilot's body via an apparatus known as the ‘Echo Suit', the skintight uniform that identifies all mecha pilots outside of their armors. The Echo Suit allows a full body interlink between the pilot and the armor, allowing the pilot to operate the armor as an extension of his own body. The interior is also pressurized utilizing an advanced electrostatic fluid to provide superior shock absorption and protect the pilot against dramatic pressure variations. Heat and radiation shielding is provided via a top-secret material known as Mercurite.

Maybe it could be optional and there could be advantages and disadvantages to it so picking a flight-suit could be important (though not as important as the overall loadout and training obviously).

I'd like to see where this is going.

Cool. Go for it.

I honestly have to know... Is this where the type 22 body suit uniform came from? If not, was it created, or does SPINE and the AES just do everything now?
