He also is ashamed of the fact that he has lost his arms, and is very touchy about the topic, and always wears long sleeved shirts and gloves to conceal the metallic sheen of his arms.

Why would he just go to PNUgen and get his arms regrown? It's cheap and easy...much cheaper than cybernetics.
 
He saw the advantage of mechanical arms. Doesn't mean he likes them. He sees them as superior to normal arms.

EDIT: So, would I have to edit that in my bio, or what?
