Its an idea I'm toying with for the wiki, linking lots of simple video explanations with lots of diagrams to various scientific and engineering ideas so we can create a sort of knowledge repository for anyone who wants to know what they're talking about on just about any issue.

I'm unsure of the format but I think it would help make the setting more accessible, since even layman's terms can confuse new users.

I'd like to discuss the creation, layout and execution of such a page and would love your feedback.

An example video would be something like...

Electromagnetism in a nutshell:
Part A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMnsZuEE_m8
Part B: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy6kba3A8vY

I think linking to this kind of thing puts little faith in the players' abilities to either a) know these things or b) know how to look into them on their own. I think that it's a good thing it didn't catch on but it also seems some players include youtube videos in articles on a case by case basis.
