Emrys Industries Wet Wear

Due to a spate of bad weather around Seru (and apparently only around Seru, it was really unlucky weather), he developed several ideas, and had the production team work on them. These are the results:

Wet Goods

Umbrella:

Emrys Industries Umbrella's are top of the line. The frame is a light weight, but very strong ceramic, and the ‘cloth' is a extremely tear resistant non-water permeable fabric.

There are two forms of umbrella, one that can fold down to a very small size, in fact can (when folded correctly), only four inches by one inch, but still retain its relatively light frame, and can be unfolded with the simple press of a button. Caution should be maintained when opening the umbrella, since it opens with some force, and due to the strength of the frame can cause some injuries if hitting a rib. The fabric is hung in such a way that water is made to flow away from the person, therefore preventing them from being wet. An additional advantage of the umbrella being made entirely out of ceramics is that it doesn't rust.

The second type of umbrella is a non-retractable for, which stands as high as a the average walking stick, with a handle made for a comfortable grip. To open it, you simply press a button just above the handle, causing it to spring open, or you can open in manually. The strong frame of this walking stick means that it can be used as a walking stick, or (if situations demand), a stave. The spike at the end is not sharp enough to cut, but can be used to jab. This umbrella also supplies superior protection from precipitation.

For an additional amount of weapons, you can purchase the ‘self defence' option of Umbrella. For the fold up version, there are two buttons on the handle, one which causes a spike to come out from the opposite end from behind a concealed panel, and the other which causes a shorter spike to come out of the base of the handle. These spikes are ceramal, but strong and sharp. For the non-retractable version, the concealed weapon is more extensive. Pressing a button underneath the handle causes the centre of the umbrella to come out, leaving only a thin frame with the fabric and supporting metal strands, the centre of the umbrella is actually a thin ceramic sword, strong and sharp, perfect for fencing with the sharp tip. The rest of the umbrella can be discarded, to be picked up later and reconnected to the centre. A second button causes a sharper spike to come out of the main spike of the umbrella, withdrawn by pressing it again. An advantage of the frame being made of ceramic is that it is not picked up on a metal detector. In both cases the fabric is stronger than usual, and when extended, can prevent some weapon hits, such as by blades, but not fire-arms.

Rain coat:

The coat goes down to the ankles, and does not cling to the legs, but stays a few inches away in a free flowing style. This helps to prevent the legs getting wet. It covers most of the body, going all the way down to the arm, going slightly below the wrist, and a hood covers the head. The hood is deep enough to protect the head from rain in most directions, and when up also obscures features. On each side of the body there is a deep pocket, which has a cover to prevent the content getting wet, and another just underneath the breast, roughly as deep as the hand, and there are several more pockets on the interior. Around hip level there is also a concealed pocket on the right or left hand side, depending on the version, preferable to bias. This is made for a concealed weapon, but that is not on the sales talk, only that it is that which it is most useful for. It can fit a handgun, pistol, or a knife/small club. The Coat opens down the middle, and is close by both a zip and a series of buttons, the buttons on a flap of material that goes over the zip. Also inside the coat are a series of Velcro straps, that can be used to hold an object in place. This could be anything, depending on the number of straps use, a pencil case, a small bag, a folder, or a sub-machine gun. The fabric that makes up the coat has the texture of leather, however it is entirely waterproof, and breathable in some areas, for example under the armpits, to prevent the clammy and warm sensation one can get from wearing such a coat. The fabric is also made to be extremely tear resistant, although its ability to prevent bludgeoning is only supplied by the padding for warmth and comfort, a knife stab or a sword swing or even stab is unlikely to cut it, albeit it is far more likely to cause the wearer bruising, and possibly other internal damage. The padding is very efficient, making the coat very comfortable to wear, and also warm, although reactive materials mean that if it is hot outside the coat does not insulate the wearer as much, preventing overheating. The Coat comes in a variety of colours, the most common being Black, or very dark Green and Darks, although khaki and brighter colours are available.

Price: 130 ks.

Gloves:

Emrys industries gloves are in appearance similar to motorcycle gloves, but a little slimmer. They are made of highly damage resistant material, especially with the soles of the hand, the fingers, and the back of the hands. Around the joints there are more flexible, but still damage resistant materials. In particular the gloves are very heat resistant, and it takes extremely high temperatures to damage them, as well as being liquid resistant, not permeable to liquids. To further protect the hands there is a ceramic plate covering the back of the hands, and over the part of the fingers closest to the knuckles have small lead plates/weights in them. Although ostensibly for protection, they also serve as high effective knuckle dusters, and another lead plate along the hammer side of the hand. The other parts of the gloves that won't affect the flexibility of the hand have ceramic plates in them. The gloves have very comfortable padding in them. In addition, between the knuckles are three powerful LED lights, that can be activated by pressing a pressure point (of the glove not the flesh) on the side of the knuckle of the index finger. Pressing it once activates the LED's on low power, a second time medium power, and a third time high power. The high power setting is roughly comparable to a torch. Holding down the point causes the power to increase to high, pressing hard will turn it off. The internal batteries that power the LED's are powered by the movement of the gloves, simply by the movements of the fibres.

For an additional 13 KS one can buy gloves that conceal claws. Inside the fingers tiny blades that, upon touching a pressure point at the back of the hand, a tiny one centimetre long, and coming to a very sharp point.

Price: 50 ks for a pair.
63 ks for a pair with claws,

Balaclava:

Made for cold weather, and for some other covert situations. The Balaclava is made from warm material, and, unlike most balaclava's, are very comfortable and not itchy. The eyes are covered by the balaclava, but they are one way light permeable, meaning that you can't see the eyes from the outside, only grids of fabric, but you can see from the inside. In addition over the mouth is a form of special material that filters the air being breathed in, getting rid of toxic gasses, using a series of selectively semi-permeable membranes. In side the balaclava are ceramic plates, allowing for good quality head protection.

For an additional 11 ks the eyes can be fitted with screens that can monitor infrared monitors and allow the person wearing the balaclava to see heat etc.

Price: 22 ks
With infra-red: 33 ks

Approved, though I don't know who would buy an umbrella that could hurt you when you open it.

You'd have to be a bit of an idiot to open it in that way.

And no-one else is selling umbrellas, at least not of this standard.
