Moraes, aulwauws,

My apology on this slight delay, had to make sure my "generous" benefactors were not able to trace the transuniversal message. I am sorry that I was unable to contact you when our brother perished. I was a little busy borrowing a few things from the armory Aerum had hidden away here. Most of our resistance forces on the capital worlds have either been captured or killed by forces loyal to Vaelaris and Sylix. I've been trying to stay out of sight until our niece can get me out of here, hopefully with the two survivors of Vespan State Office. They stormed it and slaughtered most of the staff the moment Aerum declared independence. I guess her boy pulled the trigger early. Hopefully the frontier worlds are leaning more toward the resistance, I know that the Laeyrians have sided with the Vespans.

I heard that rebel forces on Lorenz had attempted to disable the transuniversal device that is being prepped to move the world into your universe. It was four days ago, so I have no idea if they were successful. Our father apparently stole a ship from the Noria Citadel, Vaelaris has had half the 3rd hunting for them. Katara apparently made it out as well, but it is doubtful we will find her - just wait for the news of someone important dying in a mysterious accident or something.

You wouldn't guess who I teamed up with here. Artemesia, the former "Espra of War" had some problems with her departure papers and we ended up in a firefight at Talerys Starport. Apparently some of the other members of their species and our former religious institution have headed your way. Perhaps I should have stayed in Yamatai, but I could not stand being called a refugee, I'd rather take my chances against the U.N.N.

Talk Soon. If our father heads your direction tell him I am alive at least.
Still Cae'Aester as long as I have breath,

Rin

Moraes,

Pardon the brief nature of my previous message as I had figured you were quite, "occupied". There is no apologies necessary. You are and always will be Cae'Aester, that and that which accompanies it comes first. Though it seems like Vaelaris has gone and made himself a disgrace, which means not much has changed. If I had to fathom a guess he's got her tits in his pocket with Illajana in the shadows somewhere.

We have not heard anything about the world arriving on this end. If they were supposed to be here by now, I would venture that an unexpected delay has occurred. Father stole a ship? How interesting.

Certain feelings regarding the espras remain, uncertain at best. Though if you teamed up with Artemesia, it sways things considerably. We'll keep an eye out for our former religious insitution and its members. If we get anything useful it will be passed to you. Honestly, you would have hated it here moraes. The constraints on one's activities is near stifling at times, like not being able to make people who addressed us in such a way disappear on a whim.

If father makes his way here in a way that I am able to find him, I will make sure to deliver your message. I am sure he has his ways of making large starships slip into places unnoticed though.

Moraes, aulwauws,

Yes, our father stole a ship. An experimental prototype that our brother designed. Apparently it has some kind of importance because Vaelaris seems willing to waste ships looking for it.

So there has been a development here, first of all - Artemesia and I, along with the two Vespans were extracted by Prince Esari, I guess Aerum decided to make herself some children. At least someone is reproducing, one was enough for me. Anyway back to the development. Vaelaris has apparently installed slave harnesses on the mindhives of UNN ships to keep the loyalty of the Leviathans in check. Grand Admiral Caelorn Islerius and a group of officers and soldiers recently defected, I guess Mijun and Koshiro showed up and destroyed a bunch of UNN ships that had the modification. I will have to send you a recording, some massive ancient war leviathan smacked a dreadnaught around like it was a toy. The usual cryptic bullshit followed, they are watching. What I would not give to take a go at popping those egos.

You are right, about me that is. I was not happy there but what is important is that our people are. Those who went to Tsenlan may become the only safe ones out of all of us if things keep going in the direction they are going. While it would be easy for me to call it quits and head your way, I feel it is my duty to stay in the fight. I hope the frontier worlds will bring the results I have been hoping for.

Artemesia confirmed, her family is there in Tsenlan. I think she might stick around though, we've made a good team.

Safe for now,

Rin

Also, I am sending you the registry information for the ship dad stole. It might help when he shows up there and save some panic.

Moraes,

Somehow not shocked that our father did such a thing. Thank you for sending the registry information, I will make sure to say hello if he does show up in these parts. Do you think the reason Vaelaris has a hard on for said ship have anything to do with alleged delusions our brother had? Given that our brother designed it and that slimy politician is so gung-ho on finding it, there might be something more tied to what our shyraes was going through than we know.

Call me crazy if you will, but if those two things are connected I would be immensely concerned that Vaelaris has something going on we are not aware of. One of my own home brewed children was enough for me as well, have not decided if more are in the picture yet. I'd guess that depends on what Chanyeol or Cheol have planned for their futures.

Speaking of those delicious absolute no-touchy delectable red flags, I'd love to see what havoc they wrought upon such an atrocious abomination. I cannot begin to fathom what got into that slime ball Vaelaris' head to make him or his cronies do such a thing. It is going to take great patience not to outright gut the cretin if Tsenlan or myself have the immense misfortune of entertaining his presence.

Speaking of safety in Tsenlan, I am not so sure. Unya and her son are here, if they are here it makes me wonder. What are they hiding from? I hope you find the results you are looking for. We will do what we can from here to keep an eye that way.

Moraes, aulwauws,

I hope this message finds you well.

It seems to me that Vaelaris’s ambitions are rooted in a relentless hunger for power. Everything boils down to what he believes he can control ~ whether it’s knowledge he thinks we lack or something more tangible. His motives reek of greed. I suspect there’s something on that ship he covets, or perhaps he’s still seething over the fact that our father escaped his grasp. I wouldn’t even put it past him to marry Sylix just to secure a claim to the throne.

According to Artemesia, Tsenlan has become a refuge for those forced to flee. Vaelaris arrests or makes people disappear if they dare question his authority or fail to meet his narrow definition of what it means to be “truly Norian.” I don’t believe Artemesia would lie to me, though I can’t ignore the possibility that there’s another, more troubling reason the Espra are running. One that I’m almost too afraid to consider.

That said, I think our father’s presence in your region is a critical advantage. If he manages to reveal the truth before Vaelaris makes some grand political move toward the Empire, it could turn the tide. The Yamataians are not easily deceived, and while they might see through Vaelaris’s schemes on their own, our father’s testimony would certainly help.

Just so you’re aware, the first core world has been relocated to the Kosuke Sector and placed under Commonwealth control. They are likely to receive those seeking shelter too. We’re doing everything we can to delay the Imperium’s plans while working to restore some semblance of decency and rightful governance.

Talk to you soon,
Rin
